    I'm very pleased with my CBR400RR, I worked on it last summer doing quite a comprehensive refurbishment and it is a real head turner with the original black / teal colours. I had just passed my bike test in 1994 while working in Cyprus when I picked this up. I used it daily in Cyprus for commuting and weekend rides before I had it flown back in a Hercules aircraft to the UK. Again I daily rode it to work and it was a few years before I stopped riding it and had put on about 43K KM when I garaged it. About 20 years elapsed before I set about making it road worthy again shortly after one of my boys bought his first motorcycle. So as you can imagine I feel very lucky to relive this experience again and ride her again. Thanks guys for sharing your bike video the bike looks stunning.

    I'm 43 this year and I rode this particular model (L Model) during my NS..this model is the most powerful model(no power cut off)in all the CBR400 series..this review sure bring back memories.. thanks guys! 👍👍👍👍👍

    Best 400cc sports bike I've ever ridden besides Gsxr 400.. back then when there's no such things as cameras everywhere.. zooming from point A to point B with this beast is a blast. I rode my L model FJ plate with illegal aftermarket headers and gen 1 yoshi cyclone, huge difference in power delivery comparing with stock headers. No power cut!!! Riding up NS highway not meant for everyone with the posture. Clear meter? No issue. The first time i sat on one was in 1995.. fell in love.. Great point was 100% mechanical and raw power. Had mine overhauled, restored with new parts. Worth the money spent, experience was priceless.

    For the origin of the CBR prefix you would have to go back to 1956 when the C70 was released although there is no historical explanation for the "C", three years later the "B" was first applied on the CB71 and from then on was used to describe sports models, the "R" appeared in 1984 on the CBR400F and is excepted to mean race.

    I like this model that has the rear pillion footpeg that can be hidden. In my riding younger days, if I were to pick up a blind date that is gemok or tak cantik, I will hide the pegs and tell them that my bike cant pillion....hahahahaha

    Very nice bike to ride!! Will nvr forget the days with it, I had a R model riding it for 3-4 yrs before selling it away.
    The seat is very Low, making u feel like u are sitting into the bike, not on top of the bike. Handling is superb too, stable at high speed. Maint is simple too, many stuff is mechanical parts so not so complicated like electronics.
    Hope the next owner is still enjoying like I did! Haha

    Hello, Farhan. Is Singapore discouraging citizens to use old vehicles? Can you not drive vehicles that are made in the 90's?

    • @tambakoverlanders
      @tambakoverlanders  2 года назад

      Its a form of vehicle & emissions control as older vehicles tend to be more "polluting". The maximum one can keep a vehicle on the roads is 35 years from the registration date, (which is renewable every 10 years for a lumsome fee called "Certificate of Entitlement"). You can keep old vehicles (past 35 years COE) as a classic/vintage scheme, though its restricted to 45 days of use per year.

    Today, I still think its a beautiful bike. I would buy it if it did suck fuel. 😅
    For Honda bike parts, I bought it from Rowell Road. Fyi
    I passed my 2A on my first try. I thought TP will pass all since we already have 2B.🤔
