    IMPORTANT CORRECTIONS:
    2:07 - It's supposed to be Anemic Agility (like in the other builds). Putting vile acceleration there was a mistake due to late evening crunch!
    4:27 - The reason they are intertwined is because a level 5 min-max build usually minmaxes the level 4 predecessor.

    • @Norrschein

      @@anonymanonym3669 It depends on what you mean by endless. I explained this in another comment somewhere but Mesa struggles when we're talking really high levels. If you plan to go into the thousands you should actually consider armor strip green shards instead of full orange. Just keep in mind that they will be almost completely useless before you reach those enemy levels.
      The main problem is that you will eventually get oneshot by things that ignore her shield (like some eximus abilities). So if you are running a solo mode you will run out of revives guaranteed. You can use the LVL 5 build, add 2 green shards and try to camp in a corner I guess. Tell me how far you got :)

    First, great video. Good production quality, good music, not too loud or overpowering. Most importantly: The format you used to go over the builds was great! Having the mods present at the top all the time rather than a quick flash on screen is what I’ve always wanted. It let me watch your gameplay, while checking the mods and making the connection with what was happening. The only thing I was missing was a little reference to your first videos. Pointing out the resource savings with your method vs the ones you called out might have been helpful. But overall, great video and it will help me with my Mesa a lot!

    Heya, it was definitely worth taking your time with this video, the quality really shows!

      @Norrschein  Год назад +3

      Hey Fluffie, good to see you again. I'm not sure about the investment here. Growing a small channel is largely about volume and I think 2 weeks for an upload isn't so good. However, I am just very pressed on time. I'm essentially blowing any free time I have on this.
      Regarding hornet strike it's hard to say without testing. Until you swap to Blind Rage instead of transient it's probably only a minor difference (in terms of diminishing returns) if any. However, faction mods are also not that popular so for the sake of accessibility I did not include them until level 4 and onward.

      For build wise its probably not much of a difference as you said. Could use Normal or Primed Heated charge for Corrosive + Heat instead of base damage mod. Was an excellent video nonetheless. All the best on growing your channel!

    Min maxing warframes and builds are great and we all love making million of dmg with red crits, but sometimes that's not what you're looking for. Sometimes you are looking for something simple and functional, and that's something that the warframe yt creators are severely lacking and you're providing with videos like this.

    Hey Norrschein! Great video! The production quality is top-notch, and I also think your choice of music is great! I found the video logically structured and easy to follow, so I personally do not agree with your comment about it being all over the place. Coming from a veteran perspective, the only potential issue that I can foresee arising (from other, more reactionary vets) is that your strong emphasis on the time and resources it takes to get to your endgame/min-max builds could be off-putting/annoying -- I personally did not find this to be the case, and I do like how you're kinda pushing back against the bigger, more clickbait-y Warframe RUclipsrs by emphasizing that min-maxing isn't necessary, but it's something to keep in mind if you get hate for it (since people on the Internet love to hate).
    Now, as for the builds: solid all around! I liked how you explained the basics of what Mesa wants for her abilities and Regulators, and also gave extra explanation regarding more "controversial" mod choices (ie. in your level 1 build, Augur Pact vs more fire rate; also, since the Regulators can't equip Vile Acceleration [from my knowledge], it probably would have been better to use Anemic Agility in that instance to better illustrate your point -- you do say "a mod like Vile Acceleration", and to you and me that obviously means Anemic or Gunslinger, but the new players your level 1 build targets may not!).
    Finally, regarding specifically the min-max build: going 5 Topaz shards (2 Tau 3 non) for +300% crit chance makes a lot of sense! If you really wanted to go nuts, 4 Tau Topaz shards will also get you to +300%, allowing you to slot something like a Crimson shard for more ability strength, or an Amber for rolling during Waltz, or a Violet to help with energy sustain or something. Of course, that's EVEN MORE investment, but hey, if we're min-maxing...? I also liked your note about the Furis Wraith with its augment + melee crescendo, and how it's technically better IF you take the time to set it up.
    I also wanted to get your thoughts on a potential armour-strip build with Emerald shards. I know that it would technically be more efficient to just use Pillage or something else to armour-strip, but for the sake of discussion: 5 Emeralds, 2 set to increase max corrosion stacks and 3 set to gaining ability damage on enemies affected by corrosion would allow full armour-stripping + up to 45% *additive ability strength, plus the 120% damage increase of Galvanized Shot (assuming slash/puncture/impact/viral procs from the shots + Nourish), plus the damage increase of Viral from either a primer or Nourish. This allows for competitive damage plus armour-stripping without leaving Waltz, with the caveat of the armour-strip being mostly for levels 400+ (since things lower level tend to die too quickly to be fully stripped)(*I think the Emerald effect stacks additively, since that's what the Crimson one does, but I'm not sure). This is likely not as effective as Topaz shards (since you don't get 100% crit, and you only have 30% status even with Shot + two 60/60 mods), but it could prove useful in long endurance/Circuit runs. I'd like to know what you think!
    Regardless, I think you've done an excellent job with this video! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for future builds from you!

    • @Norrschein
      @Norrschein  Год назад

      Hey Happy, great feedback. Putting vile acceleration there is one ugly blunder due to crunching the editing yesterday. It's obviously Anemic Agility as per the other builds. I have added that to the pinned comment.
      1. I disagree regarding the off-putting of viewers. It might technically do that but it does so for a reason. As an example, I have recently had a friend get back into Warframe at MR17 and even he thinks the resources needed are insane. I can't imagine what it's like for an actual newbie. I will keep on mentioning this because it is the truth in my opinion. Whether or not it annoys other veterans is not something I can control anyway.
      2. Your suggestion on shards would probably be the next step for sure. I simply lack the shards as I took a long break after archon release.
      3. The ability damage from green shards does not affect regulators from my understanding, as the actual ability is something like "summon + buff regulators". You might get the extra ability damage on her 4 but as that is not the actual regulators themselves, it doesn't do anything. This might be changed later.
      I think armor strip for endless runs would be most optimal with pure toxin + archon continuity. This way you can both armor strip as well as deal raw damage to health, which should scale a lot better than corrosive. A potential problem I am foreseeing with corrosive only would be that once the armor is gone, you lose its damage bonus. This might be an issue for very high level enemies.
      Although the main issue with level capping Mesa is that you will most likely get blown up long before even reaching anywhere close to level cap. Your best bet would be to camp in a tiny room with a volt spectre or smth.

      I used to run that but I do not have the capacity atm. The later builds have so much damage that you won't get much value out of double procs, because the enemy is dead before they tick properly. Yes, it works. However it will not benefit your damage reduction, damage buff and later on, your helmith skill. Getting 95% DR on her 3 is very easy with just augur secrets and if you do not plan to subsume and/or subsume a strength reliant skill, I would consider it worth it. • @Norrschein

      I would need to actually test this, but assuming you are using everything else I'm fairly certain that even a non-prime faction mod would be more damage, most of the time. Status chance and raw damage scale really bad on Mesa. Haven't done much Void Cascade but damage should be enough. However, survivability would be an issue.

    Great video, gonna share this with a friend who is thinking about getting mesa.
    Also I would like say some of my own opinions on mesa, I dont like running low range on her because the autoaim becomes worse. (I know its tied to fire rate but I deal more than enough damage regardless). And I have 3 Red shards for crit chance instead of modding for heat (faction damage instead), and 2 yellow shards for parkour.
    with how much damage I deal with mesa I dont need health or more damage reduction so I have 3 duration mods instead of narrow minded. Max dps isnt everything.
    which means I combine the ideas of youtubers to make a build that works for me. Just because something is "stronger" doesnt always mean better.... How something feels and easy of use is also part of how good something is. with how much damage I deal with mesa I dont need health or more damage reduction because enemies dies before they get the chance to hit me. so I have 3 duration mods instead of narrow minded. Max dps isnt everything.
    Build guides is not do or die, In my eyes its more of a guideline to understand the things you want to use not brainlessly follow.

      Hey strafe, there will absolutely be more videos. However, this series requires a lot of research so it will be uploaded rather sparsely. For now, I want to grow my channel which forces me to do higher volume uploads of more simple stuff (thanks RUclips).
      As for your feedback. I agree. At the end of the day it all comes down to ones needs, which is why the entire point of this series is to give people an idea, not to declare these the builds to use.

    hey bro i have a question
    i have 268% strength (with maxed corrosive projection mod)on mesa and subsumed pillage on her and have molt augmented at rank 0.. pillage sometimes fully strip armors and sometimes it doesn't fully strip, why is that happening? and also on mesa does pillage need 300% strength to fully strip armors?

    • @Norrschein
      @Norrschein  Год назад +1

      Pillage needs 328% strength to strip in one cast (with your aura). Doing that is very difficult on Mesa because we do not build nearly enough strength. However, since you run Molt Augmented you will hit 328%. That makes the consistency issue hard to explain. Are you sitting at max stacks for molt augmented? Just one below max and you will lack 0.24% strength to hit the 328%.
      If you are, it could be a rounding issue in the math somewhere (either on pillage, or enemy armor values) which results in you not hitting 328 sometimes, but rather 327.X.
      Have you tried adding more strength to push it over 328%? Does that make it always strip? I'm not too knowledgeable about pillage but I know the game sometimes has issues when you are just barely hitting a threshold.

      Just replying to myself here cause I missed that your molt augmented is rank 0. The issue is that you are not hitting the 328% strength needed. The reason it sometimes works would be because pillage can strip multiple times, so after 2 casts it will strip. You will need a rank 5 arcane to strip in one cast at 250x stacks.

    Pretty cool, but 2 suggestions. Why not use archon vitality? And second; you could use melee crescendo to easily build up initial combo.

      If you're not using umbra mods might as well throw that one on there. It doesn't have a downside apart from extra mod space. I'm simply not using it because I'm too lazy to forma. That said, as enemies die way too fast you'll hardly get much value out of it in most day-to-day content. It will however allow for some slightly better scaling into very high enemy levels.
      I find melee crescendo to be a pain to use, so I just use ceramic. However, now that mesa ult can no longer build the +100 initial combo for ceramic, melee crescendo is probably significantly better.

    can mesa go to level cap or is that hard for a new player with these mods

      Mesa can not really go to level cap regardless of mods. You can get relatively far by camping in a corner but eventually without better defense you will simply run out of lives. Some eximus abilities just straight up ignore her shield.
      If you do wanna go that far I would advertise a green shard armor strip build, but it will be quite useless unless you are into the thousands because enemies simply do not have enough health to strip armor in normal content.
      Overall I would not recommend playing Mesa for level cap.

      Regulators are Mesas unique weapons used for the ultimate. They will unlock automatically if you unlock Mesa. To see them you need to pick Mesa in your arsenal.
