Hi Steijn. I dont know anything about the piano. Normally people would learn the left hand part first and then only the right hand part isn't it? What do you think?
Hey guys, sorry for the late reply. I actually stopped with piano, I have been a drummer all my life and I still feel like that is my passion and more so than piano. I tried piano for a few months but realized drums are just more for me and I am still drumming. :) @Tim Nyap Ming, as you can probably tell by now, I am no expert on piano, so I would ask someone else! :) Good luck everyone with your instruments!
I learned to play version 2 on my keyboard by ear. I can also play six other songs (simple one-hand songs) that I also learned by ear. They include Joy to the World, Silent Night, I've Been Working on the Railroad, and more. And I don't know A a SINGLE piano note!
Hi Yourpurse! Congratulations on learning the song. Maybe next work on not stealing purses? I do not have the sheet music for this anymore, and I do not think students should learn to read music until they can play more advanced songs. We learn to listen and speak before we learn to read and write for a reason.
Beethoven originally wrote this melody in the key of D. Beginning pianists often play it in either C, like me, or G, as those are the only two keys that have their first five notes (Do Re Mi Fa and So) all on white keys. If you aren't scared of sharps and flats, you can actually play this melody (or ANY melody) in any key without it sounding significantly different. Any song in a Major key can be transposed into any other Major key, and any song in a minor key can be transposed into any other minor key.
In the song book bundled with the CASIO CTK keyboard, this song is written in the key of G. I wanted to confirm it. In fact, I gave it in C only to my key of C but made them play it on G after checking it with the book. But as you said, doesnt make much of an issue as there are no black keys in either C or G. Thank you for the reply. Cheers..
Haha thanks ^.^ Just started playing a couple hours ago (Just got a piano today and I'm very excited, I've never played before. I do play the Viola, though.) and i can already play most of this ^.^
but there is 3 problem 1.you only use right hand first time 2.it is short in part 1 and 2 3.it sounded low when I play ode to joy it is longer than u play

Which version is used g and f clef at the same time?
The G clef (treble clef) is used for the right hand and the F clef (bass clef) is used for the left hand, so versions 3 and 4 use both clefs.
That's song make me cry ; (
