  • Slaw reviews the LotusGrill barbecue.
The Lotus Grill is a unique, ingenious, BBQ which heats up in under 5 minutes, giving you that authentic charcoal cooked flavour in no time!
Perfect for the motorhome. Small and convenient to transport, the Lotus Grill weighs only 4kg.
The ingenious fan design is powered by 4 AA batteries, whilst the double skinned bowl stays cool on the outside, allowing your to handle the grill even when hot.
Slaw cooks beef burgers and marinated chicken for Mrs Slaw outside their Hobby motorhome on the Treveague Farm campsite in Cornwall.
Mrs Slaw demonstrates how easy it is to clean afterwards and comments that the bowl is also dish washer proof!

One flaw to the Slaws LotusGrill....if the batteries run out mid cook then you're a bit stuffed unless you have a hole in your table ha! Looks a nice bit of kit though and I'm sure you'd get know how many times the batteries will last.

Thumbs up for a useful and nice to watch video. Got a say, you two are a good team.
The grill is slightly too big for what I am looking for - a grill to have on the table while grilling small pieces of meet etc. fondue style. Also the little buzz from the fan not ideal for this use. Have anyone heard of a good grill for that purpose? I am looking into the Eva Solo table grill.

We have a virtually identical version of this, ours has a waterline approx 25mm up from the bottom, water catches the oils/fat from the meat and sits on top of the water which makes it far easier to clean, may be worth checking the base of these for the same water level mark
