The Disney+ Original movie “Disenchanted” is an all-new live-action musical comedy and sequel to the box office hit “Enchanted,” featuring the original cast from the heart-warming story of the lovable maiden from the fairy tale world of Andalasia who finally found her Prince Charming in the kingdom of New York City. The film features an extraordinary ensemble cast, including Amy Adams, reprising her role as Giselle; Patrick Dempsey as Giselle’s husband, Robert Philip; Maya Rudolph as Malvina; Yvette Nicole Brown as Rosaleen; Jayma Mays as Ruby; Gabriella Baldacchino as Robert Philip’s daughter Morgan; with Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine; and James Marsden as Prince Edward.
Directed by Adam Shankman from a screenplay by Brigitte Hales and a story by J. David Stem & David N. Weiss, and Richard LaGravenese, “Disenchanted” is produced by Barry Josephson, Barry Sonnenfeld, and Amy Adams, with Jo Burn, Sunil Perkash and Adam Shankman serving as executive producers. The movie features new songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a score by Alan Menken.
It has been more than ten years since Giselle and Robert wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairytale life. Unfortunately, it is not the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe, who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Frustrated that her happily ever after has not been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairytale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.

I know that they decided to make Giselle a “wicked step mother” but to me in my opinion…before that happened she was just turning a fairy god mother ok there I said it,damn the felt good to get off my chest

i think she did, because in a clip that someone uploaded, Morgan says that Giselle had a forest(?) of M&M’s delivered to her via pigeon

Fixer Upper: a frozen reference with Idina Meinzel
It's so true that Disenchanted was not like this movie's Enchanted movie, my movie review which was more like a movie wish I wrote a week or two before that sequel went like this:
"The fact that Giselle would permanently return to her fairy tale life in this sequel is unfortunately the last thing I would hope for, and I would like the movie to end with Giselle realizing what life is really about, that it doesn't have to be a fairy tale, even if she is the best used to it, that the most important thing is that he and his family are together and alive and that at the end of the movie they would come back and move back to New York and of course permanently and continue their happily ever after there in their old ways"
But things didn't go as I hoped!
They didn't come back to town, Giselle got a good offer, Robert opened his own office so he didn't have to go into town to work anymore, and Morgan... Well, Morgan found something to be happy about.
After all, it is important for their happiness, but they could just as well have returned home to New York, because "living fairytale princess in modern New York City" doesn't sound crazy, but unique, at least to me!
I'm afraid that the sequel to this movie destroyed people's childhood, and everything, and from me the feeling I experienced a year ago when I saw this movie for the first time
The beginning seemed so promising that everything would go as I would have liked in terms of the end, but it turned out differently :(
In other words, I like Enchanted more than Disenchanted It's much more exciting and romantic than this sequel!
