How to remove an IKEA Metod maximera kitchen cabinet drawer front

- I made a short movie showing how to remove the front panel of the new IKEA Metod Maximera kitchen cabinet drawer. In the middle opening you can access the lever to release the front panel. It's a little cross, partly hidden but it can be done easily with a cross head screwdriver. Put the screwdriver in it and twist it away from the front panel. It's amazingly simple but you have to know it.
Found a similar video about the system. I think its manufactured by a company named Blum and the mechanisme is named Tandembox.

For anyone with a dark screen like me who couldn’t quite see your motion: once the screwdriver is set in, you need to move in a smooth arc toward the back of the drawer. A round up-back-down motion. Doesn’t need to be pushed inward anymore.

Super! Adding few words for clarity, to match what this video shows (right side of the drawer) - as you turn the screw driver clockwise, the catch mechanism will move towards the back of the drawer, thus freeing the front panel insert. It should stay back there, ready for when you re-insert the panel. I was not paying attention so after removing the panel (and the catch snapped back towards the front), I was having a hard time reinstalling, as the catch was in the forward position. So turn the screwdriver clockwise until the internal catch mechanism stays back there...now it is ready for reinstall.

+Susan Risk the staff in our local store showed us how to do it, but I had forgotten which bit you placed the screw driver in! Ask them though, they are very helpful and most have built and dismantled the units themselves

Thank you, Koen - much appreciated! Like the other commenters, you saved me from possibly buying the kit again and, as others have found, Customer Services at the IKEA where I bought the furniture was unable to give this advice (although they were great in all other respects).
Fantastic. Having followed IKEA's crap instructions and therefore fitted the drawer front brackets in the wrong holes I had to resite them. Couldn't work out how to get the front off until I found this video. Now I can put the brackets where I think they should be. Thank you so much.

I accidentally reversed the brackets when I mounted them on the drawers and well. Needless to say this saved me a trip to Ikea to get a replacement.

I knew a hammer wouldn't be the answer. This video was just what I needed, since I put on the wrong front piece. Have a good day. Great product, fantastic hardware. Super instruction, but pay attention. I had 22 cabinets to assemble; used 45 minutes on the first, and got down to 10 minutes after the fifth. Not bad for a 76 old school teacher. Thank you! I couldnt see the area so good in the video. In real life, i saw there is a small tab that needs to be lifted up with the screwdriver to reveal the area the screw driver goes in, then just turn and the drawer is unlocked.
