Hey there, Brunch admin, this is an old video so you maybe don't monitor comments that people leave but the "interview" with Tim and Aisling was just painful to watch.
When a guest has to repeatedly answer basic questions and the host still can't bother to take in what is being said........they are a bad interviewer.
I have never seen an interview with her before where she was so clearly 'done' with trying to be convivial and outright said 'you just don't follow this'.
She's so funny and quick, also mad dreamy.
She really is…
l could watch Aisling Bea for 3 hours, no problem.
Bit creepy
Not if you had to sit through the rest of the show and the "presenting" skills of those two fellas.
It's not as easy as you might think, as the binoculars start hurting your eyes and it's harder to squat down in a bush for 3 hours than you might realise. But totally worth it for those 10 minutes when the curtains were actually open and I could see her.

I don't understand why there was a push to eliminate the word "actress". It's a common feature of European languages to have masculines and feminine word forms for occupations.
I don't think any female actor has ever suffered from the use of the word "actress.". Maybe they've suffered from bad reviews or unemployment or being underpaid, but abuse by a word? I don't think so
What country are you living in that uses the word actress in Europe?
Seriously, I'm Irish and we ( ANY EVERY OTHER ENGLISH SPEAKING EU COUNTRY)stopped using that word in the 80's !

Tempest in a teapot. Actors/actresses/ theatre types are so self-absorbed, so utterly navel-gazing that only a small fraction of them create moving moments in well-written pieces, let alone have stellar, intelligent careers, such as Maggie Smith or Laurence Olivier. I hope Ms. Bea is off to a start, whatever she chooses to call herself. Miriam Margolyes is proud to call herself an actress, BTW...
Ugh for the love of god these are the worst hosts on television. Anywhere in the world. I hate this show. But I keep ending up here via late night RUclips rabbit holes trying to find new content from good comedians. And every time I have to watch these hosts become yet again completely dumbfounded as the guest mocks them in such a way that completely dismisses any worth they might have while never breaking a sweat through their thinly veiled annoyance that they have to appear on this joke of a show on their stupid media tours. "We found a real Irish person" "So tell us why actor and not actress" "I didn't actually watch your show" the level of contempt these two invite from their guests is unrivaled anywhere else. Why these comedians would ever want to attract an audience that pay any attention to these two hosts is completely beyond me.
British TV is pathetic. Imagine considering “arse” to be a swear word 🤦♂️
American TV considers shit to be a swear word as well as ass, although someone talking out of their donkey doesn't make much sense. However in American TV, making sense doesn't seem to matter.

You're all clowns. You can of course still say actress, but it's simply considered a little old fashioned. given that we do not genderise other similarly constructed words (like doctor, janitor, senator, etc.) It's just common usage that we just say 'actor' as well. That's it. Nothing to do with P.C. or your personal preference.
