And here’s us mere mortals relegated to screwing boards over the window. Looking forward to the rest of this job, the tight work is always a pleasure to watch in progress.

Are the windows by Rationel? My sister specced Rationel for an extension in the 90's, they don't get battered by weather and they have never been painted since install.
Just finished my carpentry apprenticeship recently and now out looking for work for myself, any tips anyone for myself, looking to go on my own fulltime ?? Finding it hard with priceing jobs getting the jobs and just all round confidence on my own jobs, got confidence in my work like just feels different when its your own jobs and time 😅
You'll get there; make a few mistakes along the way, if you need to alter a price, speak to the customer at the earliest opportunity, take a hit if need be, and before you know it, you will get it right every time. When going to give a price, hand the customer a few more business cards to spread around their friends and always stay friendly. You don't say how old you are, but hey, you may have the rest of your life to perfect your art. Good luck too.
