Okay okay no one cares but I use photoshop and ive tried to learn animation and no one explained it so simply, entertainingly and swiftly as you, god bless youuu
There's something about watching someone animate using a mouse that was surprisingly exciting. The little rocket blowing up and stuff added to the content. Thanx.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Finally someone made a tutorial about animating with Photoshop CC that I can understand! All of the other tutorials I watched, the narrators went way too fast with the instructions and they didn't go into detail with how to make each frame and the tiny things like that that I didn't understand! Thanks again this video is a savior!
Amazingly easy to follow along with this tutorial, I just learned exactly what I wanted to in under 10 minutes! Thank you for keeping the steps simple and easy to follow. It doesn't have to be "rocket science" ... :) Yay! Now I feel as if I can really bring some of my art to life!
Mate I come from Adobe Animate, Clip Studio Paint and Sketchbook. Obviously the timeline there is different and that's what kept me away from the Photoshop but you made my day with your easy explanation. Thanks for the help with your easy to follow explanation.
Thank you for uploading this video : ) I don't have any tools but just my laptop and mouse but I have this passion to create animation. This tutorial sparked motivation for me. I'm gonna try this one right now. :)
HI Steven, thanks for the tutorial. One question, wouldn't it be faster to copy the rocket and paste in each of the successive frames instead of having to redraw it every time? I'm just learning these 2D frame animation techniques and appreciate all the info I can gather from YT. Thanks again!
If you review the tutorial you'll see a box to check for onion skins, if that's what you're trying to bring up. Please re-watch the video and you'll see where to open onion skins. Good luck.
thanks for the tutorial. Can you add audio to the animation? Can you place slightly different images onto those layers or do you have to draw each time?
Sorry for the delayed response. I really don't use Photoshop for sound. I dub in sound using Cyber-link Power Director. It's an awesome movie-making software.
They really had me use flash when I was in high school which was sooo difficult to control. I was wondering if you could create animation in photoshop but they didn’t have a clue. OMG!!!
You can make your animation as long as you want. Just grab the right edge of the timeline bar and stretch it as far as you want. Next, fill in the timeline with the animation frames you make. If, when you're finished, you still have extra space on your timeline bar, just grab the right edge again and slide it to where your animation ends. Best wishes, S. West
Thank you for the video.. very helpful. How come I don't get a new blank image to draw on, when i press the next frame button? I have enabled onion skin and made a new blank video layer. Please help..
I suggest you re-watch the video. If you follow my steps, your new frame should work easily. If that fails to work, perhaps you might get a more powerful graphics card; or have your computer checked out. Sometimes malware can effect the computer's performance. I use McAfee LiveSafe...it works well against malware and virus invasions.
Thank you sooooo much for this simple animation video 👏🏼👏🏼 it really helped me plus i have a question why my photoshop CC 2018 does not have adobe media encoder why? And how i can enable it?
I am pleased that you find my tutorial helpful. As for the Adobe media encoder, I don't have an answer for you. Perhaps if you contacted Adobe, they might be able to help you.
Sorry, I'm not sure if this is what you mean... I do know that if you want to slow the animation you will need to right click on the time line and, for example, slow it to half speed, select 50 percent and double the length of the time line. This does add more frames. Good luck, S. West
thank you so much for this video..it was very helpful..the only problem that i am having is that when i finish and when i render my animation like video..it only give me many images but not in form of video ..do i need to have programme in my computer in order to have the result as video...i am really hopeless :(
You should have a good media player, like VLC Media Player installed on your computer. This is a free software. There is good movie making software for converting your video to DVD, it is Cyber-link Power Director (not free). If you're unable to make either a video for your computer or a DVD, I recommend you finding an expert in your location. Good luck!
Use after effects to stitch the images together and make a video. Blender is a free 3d animation software but also has an editor that will let you stitch images and export as video.
I'm not certain that would work. I think it would more practical to copy and past objects in sequential frames to help produce your animation in conjunction with the onion skin. The onion skin will help guide you in the right direction.
Please re-watch the tutorial and make sure that you follow the steps described. If that doesn't work, you may need the services of a computer technician. Good luck! S. West
Please go to the 5:26 position in the tutorial. This deals with slowing down the animation. Remember to extend the time line box...for example: if you set it at 50% of original speed, you will need to double the length of the time line box. Best wishes, Steve West
I clicked on the new video later and I had nothing pop up. Do you have any idea what I could Do? I'm using cc 2018 So maybe my program just does not have it?
I can only guess what your issue is. Please re-view my tutorial, to see if you followed all the steps. If that doesn't help, check your media player. I like to use VLC Media Player.
@@artguy1948 actually I played around a bit and I found under one of the tabs there was an option for timeline. The only problem i had after that was the gif played extremely quickly.
@@ace7236 Simple solution: In the tutorial, I demonstrated how to adjust speed of animation. Please review tutorial to see how that is done. Note: you'll need to stretch the timeline to accommodate for slower speed.

Yes, of course, you can do it that way. I did it the old fashioned way.
Can you copy and move it when it’s in onion skins? Do you think 5th graders would be able to learn this?
@@rebecca.menashe, Yes, indeed!
I don't see ghost image of what i drew before like in 2:38
If you mean onion skin image, you shouldn't see it on completion of your animation.

What should I do in order to extend the exposure of a frame??
