I am just learning but you make me want to learn more faster. I know this is a time consuming thing but I will learn it. Your videos are great as far as I am concerned. Thank you for putting them up. Now I am off to find another one of yours. Take care man.
@jimconacher104 cheers fella. Appreciate you watching the vids. My master plan was to teach people properly. I checked before I started and so many others cut so much out, that I could see their mistakes and how they've fixed them off camera. Keep the camera rolling I say 👍🏼
@@metalofhonour Well teach away because I am wanting to learn. I found me a collet block today and the dam thing has to be made out of gold by the price, lol. But I am getting me tools built up. Take care mate.
@@metalofhonour yeah they are! BTW - tried making flower pots using your method of an old ball pein hammer head. Works a treat and keeps everything nice and level. Another great tip. Thanks very much
@phillbearman359 I find it surprisingly efficient. There a good home bottle jack method too. I may make one of those at some stage. Thanks again for watching.
@orenishilewis2695 thank you. I hadn't seen anyone else doing like this and I don't time-lapse or cut out mistakes. It takes some getting used to, but getting the proportions right will set anyone up for good. By the time you can make a few of these perfectly, you can pretty much juggle any project. Thanks for watching.
Yep. It is intense. Luckily on the phone and tv screens, the white is pixel or colour is the brightest the screen gets and safe to view. This platinum is literally natural naked eye white heat that you can't even see. The same as normal welding.
Thank you! Your videos have been a great help, and I am learning a lot. What do you think of 28° collets? I don't have a 17° block right now, so I'm making those, but I don't particularly like them.
@theyakninja thanks for watching. 17 degree is the most versatile, but 28 degre I use now and again. 28 degree collets tend to take a bit more planing.
Thanks!
@TheArtisanTouch ah thanks dude. Much appreciated mate.
@@metalofhonour you know I got yoi
@TheArtisanTouch cheers mate.
Gracias

Thank you I really appreciate this. Many thanks.
Once again, great video and commentary! Classy setting. Just ordered myself a round escapement file 👍
@@phillbearman359 thank you. Nice one. They're pricy little buggers.

Cool!!! you are very skilled and talented
@@LVWORLDTRAVELS thank you. We look forward to seeing you next time.
Man this is great how you explain while we watch! Thank you I spent hours last week trying to figure out my new collet block .. lots of crap collets

Thanks for sharing 👌the torch was so bright that even by indirectly watching it I realized how intense is.

@@TheArtisanTouch yeah right. I think this will help lots of peeps.

תודה רבה רבה על השירות הנפלא
Thank you. Enjoy.
very nice setting and I think a proper mount as apposed to mounts for faceted made from wire, wire mounts to me do not look right
@@kenwalker7160 definitely. Full wire mounts to me just look weak and not refined. Thanks again.

Is it worth it in your opinion to use 14 k gold wire or will the wire just oxidize the gold off during soldering?
@Uvaronova I honestly don't use 14ct. It's the most brittle and awkward carat to work with. In the England, we use 9, 18 and 22ct mostly.
מה עובי החוט ...?
All dimension are spoken in the video. The round wire is 1.2mm.
