FILM DESCRIPTION:

Her CGI was so wonderful for the time the movie was made, I'm always so impressed.
Kmm bnkz
And Rachel Weisz's voicing her was magnificent!
Aye, she's one of the best classical dragons I've ever seen.
@@berengerdietiker22 Its far from book accurate though.
True, but her design in the film is a lot more down to earth.
Personally, I am a fan of the whole "telepathic communication" thing of the human-dragon bond in this film.
Read the books bro. Saphira is so much more sassy/smug than this and it's wonderful
@@seadav0183 Oh man that would be amazing to see XD

The telepathic thing is also in the books. It's a really BIG thing in the books.
Wow, I love Eragon movie it's so amazing. And his voice is so amazing. 😳😱😍😊
Seeing as how Hollywood is on a roll with remakes they need to touch this.
Agreed
As long as they don't change Saphira's design.

@@GiovanniSanchez-wh4ts Eragon is the son of Brom. It is a major plot point in the novels, as his half brother Murtagh makes it a point to try and rub it in Eragon's face that they are the sons of an oath breaker, onlt to find out near the end of the third novel that Brom was his father.

@uMonstr0
I like dragons especially Spyro the Purple Dragon.
My love for dragons is thanks to Ash Ketchum’s Charizard
Honestly- am I the only one who absolutely adores the adaptation of saphira's design? I understand a lot of the community was upset and annoyed.. but I feel like the feathers give her so much more grace and reagalness that she always takes my breathe away with her majesty. She's so unique- a true winged hunter of the sky.
She’s at least this pretty and not a wyvern!
Siveth from dragonheart 5 would have suited better as Saphira 🤷🏻♀️
FEATHERS. that's the entire issue, she's a dragon bro
her graces comes from her fierceness, she is a beauitiful creature made to kill
@@kr6productions bro, dragons don't exist, they can have feathers if we want
I've always loved this movie. The horse that Jeremy Irons is riding is a Friesian. I grew up with them as a kid and I can tell you that horse is every bit as powerful as he looks. GREAT clip.
I wonder why he became alfred......
Its been so long
Love the part when Saphira said:
"YOU'RE RIDICULOUS!!! HOLD ON!!!"
"YOU STUPID BOY!!!!!"
Rachel Weisz had the best voice for Saphira, even with Saphira's rage issues
The film does not compare to the book, but even so you can't help but smile ☺ The animation is still amazing to watch!
EGGbutt I wonder how they did that back in 2006... Perhaps the same way they did Draco

The book was way better but the music
eragon was one of my favorite movie ever when i was little
I love Brom's true exhilaration at seeing a dragon and rider pair again.
As much as I love this film AND the book, I agree that they should do a remake a bit more closer to the book, or maybe a TV show. That'll be cool :)
While I agree with most of that..
From a biological stand point dragons COULD have feathers. In fact I find it much harder to believe the whole "Bat like" wing structure on a creature which is generally thought of to have scales.
Always considered them to be more reptile, and arguably bird-like. That being said, they're fantasy and anyone can believe what they want xD
Also agree on the two-movie remake..
Legitimately I cannot hate the movie because it is the thing that got me into the books, and reading in general.. but I can't watch it anymore without cringing..
Kinda like re-reading things one wrote as a 9 year old on the internet. The knowledge one possesses, even just a few years later makes one wonder what the hell they were thinking.
Also hope that if they did they'd keep Jeremy Irons as Brom.. but that might be a biased personal preference.
True.. I've had this conversation with my father quite a few times.. There has never been a vertebrate with more than four limbs (To my knowledge.) So yeah, Dragons would either be Komodo Dragons, or (Technically) Wyverns. Which would still be pretty freakin' cool if you ask me. Then again I've been a dragon enthusiast since the great age of six. And with the flight problem, you're probably right.
How ever I vaguely recall a bit in one of the books where someone is explaining the magical boundary around Ellesmera, from what I remember the boundary nullified all magic, and dragons crossing it would have to land and go on foot because they wouldn't be able to maintain flight without the magic in the first place.
And if we're talking from a biological point of view, i'd have to say that Animal planet "Documentary" done on Dragons would probably have it right. Storing gasses in the stomach and chest to help the animal get off the ground and stay airborn.
They better do it right if they do!
Also sorry for the wall of text, i'm still half asleep.
Jhett Greene Saphira's CGI is awesome in this movie, I hope the CGI in the remake is at least as good as back in 2006 XD
Jhett Greene But they need to keep Saphira's head the same!
Yeah they could make a lot of seasons wity the 4 books. Now if only it would be at least as amazing as GoT... I mean if there'd be a TV show at least make it good concurrency to other good shows lol don't make a flop out of it
If they ever remake this movie, hope they follow the book really well.....and keep Saphira the way she is. Maybe a little more shiny though.
LIGER ZERO she has a great voice she sounds Nice but she can kill you if she wants
AnimalAce And with normal dragon wings. I didn't like the feathers.
AnimalAce yeah in the books she's dark blue
in.
I actually really like how Saphira (I believe thats how to spell it?) looks. It's an intresting take on dragons
John Travolta Wannabe yeah i like her to
XD
The film might not be even close to the book, but the CGI is one of the best CGI dragons I've ever seen! She's so fluent and her wings are proportional to the body. Her body looks lean, but powerful, I love it!
This guy, I am the greatest dragon rider!
Hiccup: hold my vodka
ohhhhhhhhhh yeaaah okkkkk okkkayyyyyyyyyy oohhhh yeeeeeeeaahhhhh.
Daenerys: hold my beer

I feel like this movie is underappreciated
Who are here after the announcement of the remake of Eragon by Disney+?
I like how She was moslty gliding. Her wings were almost fully folded up to her body so she could get speed. This is something i would've love to see in Httyd. Imagine toothless flying just like she did in this scene
The dragon is fantastic
I remember I fell in love with Saphira's voice and then i realised the voice actress is my favorite
This isn’t what I expected when I searched eragon clash royale 🤨.
every fan has opinions on the design of saphira but you gotta agree, this CGI was so smooth and well made! i look forward to seeing how Disney will make our Brightscales come to life ♡
I loved this movie as a kid!! I would watch it on loop 😂😍
i'll admit I was one of those folks that went in to see this movie with a "blank slate" as it were not reading the books in that meaning, just to see a dragon movie since I love dragons so much, and I loved the movie only for the relationship eragon and saphira had, makes me want a dragon!
A telepathic dragon.
*YES*
I do think that they did Saphira well. Both voice and design the rest of the movie........ needs work
+Gooseberry93 *shrug*
True, but the design is still so elegant that I can let it slide
Personally, I quite enjoyed the wings. I thought it was an interesting take on Dragons. That is my opinion at least :)
Saphira had membranes in the book, not feathers. They got cut a lot and it hurt her.
And she needs to be a stunning bright blue, in the book it described her scales like gems in color and shine.
Gooseberry93 the movie is just bad in general a real rip off compared to the books

Wherever the dragon goes, horse raider follows... Lol
I loved Saphira's voice
The books where amazing. They butchered the story in this adaptation. But Spahira's CGI looks amazing. Plus, this is a real damn dragon. 4 legs and 2 wings. Not the wyverns (Smaug and Drogon and such) who have 2 wings and 2 legs who get sold as dragons. They really need to remake this movie. If they don't kill the story like in this film, it could be amazing.
Mandou bem
They do it to sell the realism of dragons, like to make the fantasy world that but more believable, because no vertebrates have 6 limbs. That’s what GRRM said anyways
@@arrowsaurus7561 youre not wrong ! Plus, I think there are some dragon species that are different from the "four legs 2 wings" basic one 🤔 like no legs at all or just 2
I disagree. I have read the book and still I disagree. I prefer this version over that
@@loup_perceptif I think no legs is called a wyrm. I don’t understand why people gatekeep dragons. Wyverns are basically dragons. They’re fantasy flying lizards that may or may not have feathers and breathe an element 🤷♀️

They should remake this.
Yes and try to follow the book. They could use the cover for Saphira. If I didn't know what she was up posed to look like, I woul think she looks ok .

Bro Eragon was never afraid of heights Roran was 😂
Disney+ is making a live action tv series of eragon and the author is producing and writing for the series that is currently in development even though they aren't filming. Honestly I feel like if it's done right it could be even bigger than Game of Thrones
This movie could have been so much more...
I hope it gets a remake, LOTR style. Feel free to keep Jeremy Irons as Brom
I was a kid when this movie came out... I liked it a lot and hadn't read the book.
Maybe the one you read/watched first determines which one you like best.
Same here. I hadn't read it and loved the movie. Then I read the books several years later. I definitely prefer the books now, but I don't hate the movie (even though I like it a lot less). The only thing they changed that I prefer in the film: Brom. Jeremy Irons as Brom really works for me, even though he's very different from the book version.
Also, even though Saphira is very inaccurate in the movie (it's like they paid homage to the cover art, even though it's nothing how she's described), I liked her design/voice and the animation is still stunning.
Agreed... I was only 4 years old when I first saw it and quietly loved it❤️ don't know why it got so many criticism, maybe because people read the book first

Yeah the feathers part was the most annoying parts of it's design
they should have just done a second movie to correct what was wrong in the first one because Eragon is truly fantastic to watch...

Hi
Hi.
The film had perfect cinematography and worldbuilding elements, and its portrayal of Saphira as well as Brom were massive highlights. But they sorely got everything else wrong from the story to certain portrayal of characters. I think Eragon would benefit a netflix or amazon prime adaptation more with multiple episodes. Theyll have a movie budget and will be able to flesh out the story better.
Disney got it now :p let's hope they won't screw it up
@@GamingWithHybrid Here's hoping!
I really don't understand the hate, the movie was great, it didn't follow everything from the book, but it was a close adaptation, if anything they should make a tv series like Got, the design for Saphira was awesome, if you didn't enjoy it then don't hate, an opinion is an opinion, Jesus Christ.

I know this movie is hated by a lot of fans of the books, but I LOVE this movie--especially for scenes like this. Sure, the writing could use some work but everything is just so awesome especially Saphira! This scene is what they show off because it's so beautiful and justifiably so. They were trying to make a new "Star Wars" which is why there are so many references throughout the movie with Durza killing his incompetent minions with a poison fingernail (Vader's Force Choke) to the sunset scene with Eragon sitting on his roof watching the sun go down in the distance. It's all really awesome in a unique way and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Quite simply put - Paolini’s Eragon basically is Star Wars but with dragons in a fantasy setting.
Also the director is a VFX artist and this movie was his cinematic debut and his ONLY movie. That’s tragic actually…
I hear that guys voice and Scar comes up in my head and i know that he is the same voice actor for scar lol

Edit: whoever voiced saphira is really good
When you read the books you'll find out that they're way better. So much was changed for the movie. But it was because of the movie that I got into the books. Do read the books if you haven't. It's a great read with an amazing world. It's a total of 4 books. BTW is was Rachel Weiz who voiced Saphira.
I have such an emotional attachment to this film .I used to watch it every week on repeat on DVD for years.
I read the book multiple times as a kid and watched this film, too, and even as bad as an adaptation it is, this scene still gives me an adrenaline rush--I don't know if it's the filmography or what, but yeah. I'm using the feelings I get from this as inspiration for a work that also involves the same kind of speed and movement in one of the scenes.
I never have read the books but people say that the book is 10 times better than the movie but this scene is what make you feel you're riding a real dragon.
