I've just upgraded from the 5.3 to this and it feels like a pretty nice bump up, the camera is noticeably better performing, and the fingerprint sensor is much faster which is a little thing but it's one of the most used features.
I can say without a doubt I live in a wireless service dead zone in the states and this 5.4 has full LTE bars. No problems mate! Nokia always does a great job on their budget phones, enough so that I stay a Nokia customer! I was looking for a 3.1 as a back up phone but found the 5.4 instead as the 3.1 isn't even sold anymore but have been using it as my primary phone. This thing is gorgeous
I'll choose this Nokia 5.4 compared to Chinese branded phones you have mentioned. Specs is useless unless it is well optimized. That's why this phone is better compared to the competitions in that regard.
Went and got this phone. It's cheap, has good enough specs and clean Android without much bloat. Just what I needed. I can't buy expensive smartphones because I break them in less than a year lol. It's also important for me that it has a decent experience out of the box, because I can't be bothered to root my phone and shit, just so it's usable, because I change phones multiple times a year.
Sounds surprising to hear a tech reviewer actually say (thankfully) that a 6-series chipset is fine for everyday use with no lag. Otherwise everyone seems to spit out the standard narrative of "lag". Carry on preaching!
It is fine. Really. Things just get a little hairy when you're gaming and you want to switch apps. It's such a minor problem since mobile games suck and are full of microtransactions. Just buy a Nintendo Switch if you can afford one.
Nokia should start to put full hd plus in its medium ranges since at that price there are better alternatives with better resolution. Nice analysis Bro!!! 👍
I just ordered Nokia 5.4 . The one that I have atm (galaxy a70) is way better than this, but it's giving me disappointment after 2y using it. But my budget to get a better one than mine is.. none. What I'm looking for is a pretty basic but decent smartphone, and this one catched my eye. From your review and the reviews from the comments it helped me decide to get it. I will update this comment when I get the phone and after a few weeks with it 🙂
I went from a galaxy M34 to a Nokia 5.4 and it was the worst decision ever. I usually use my phone's until they die but I have had my Nokia for 10 months and it is the worst phone I have ever owned. It's slow. It's glichy. It freezes all the time. It is so infuriating to use that I have just bought a new galaxy. While it takes its time to load it usually give me plenty of time to tell anyone waiting for the infor never ever buy a Nokia 5.4. it's horrible
Anyone else feel mid-range and entry level phones are so much more interesting to compare than flagships? Its like "who's going to do what?, add what feature?, where will the compromise be?." With the flagships and high end devices, it often comes down to just comparing prices. :/

Last year I had to buy a new sub-£200 budget phone. Considered all the options. Motorola won out at every price point Vs Nokia. Ended up picking up a G Pro mainly down to the stereo speakers of all things but would have gladly picked up a G9. Nokia has the prettier case and colours but the specs are always lacking in comparison. The Nokia brand name comes at a price it seems.
From what I can see, this is a definite step down from 5.3, it doesn’t even have 5ghz wi-fi, new Bluetooth, etc... They just bumped up the numbers and left out all the details that made the 5.3 experience great
they add gyroscope back. 5.3 is great if you don't need gyroscope. whatever the reason they left it out in the first place tech radar note that down in cons list so probably the reason they pushed 5.4 early with 3.4 mold. still, i too wish 802.11a/ac to be added. just remove that 4GB/128GB variant and put resource onto 5GHz wifi, or better just make a single variant like 2017 lineup.

very good job, new to this channel, i just subscribed
I own (2018) Xiaomi Mi A2 lite SD 625 4+64GB 4000 mAh and Nokia 5.4 is just a copy of the same smartphone with a different name.
Regardless of the price, if a smartphone has problems to properly connect to internet or to hold a connection, it’s worthless to me
I wonder if patches fixed those glitches like it rebooting spontaneously.
Had no connectivity issues with my Nokia 5.4. Overall I am finding it a good working phone, and the camera is great in day light.
The bluetooth is old in 5.4
Where do you get your wallpaper?
Ilove ot but , the snap dragon chipset is good for gaming?
My Nokia love affair is fading quickly
Chris 'macro lens' Barraclough... 😉
I bought the 5.4 and now I wish that I purchased the 5.3 instead. I didn't use the camera much and I miss the compass feature and the notification light. They could have kept the nasty plastic earphones and included a case instead. I don't like the commands of Android10. I miss the icons at the bottom.
Where do you get your wallpapers
lol at the intro section being titled "The bit you're gonna skip"
and the end being "The other bit you're gonna skip" lmao
hey, I stuck around for the whole thing at least :P
Beautiful phone l am purchasing it right know
me too ... for stock android
@@312vibinchakaravarthy.t.v6 It's better to get the Nokia 5.3. It's cheaper and a better phone, and if you install GCAM on it and use that instead of the stock camera, it takes quality photos. It appears to be quicker at updates too - mine is on January 2021 security patches - and Android eleven is coming no later than March.

@@martydav9475 i have 5.4
That google search is definitely painful
Nice! May I have that Asuka wallpaper? 😅
Nokia 5.4 or G20, or a better alternative at a very similar price?
The tech review you didn't know you needed ft. John Thomas.
Phone that re-sets itself constantly and can't pick up a 4G signal.....so basically what good is that?
still no fix for that issues?
Brother i am interested in the app you use for your wallpapers
I get the feeling a lot of these android 1 phones are only coming out with Android 10 so they only have to update to Android 12 rather than 13 🤔
Android 11 has a boatload of problems so it's best to skip it ^^
@@user-xg6zz8qs3q true. battery drainage and system crashing were major on my phone
Good video 👍
Hi which is better the moto g10 or the nokia g20? I know its irrelevant to this video also which is better for gaming?
If you ask me. All day Moto g10. Better processor and more battery capacity than nokia g20. So yeah. For gaming, Moto g10
When are you going to review the samsung m51
Yeah am surprised he hasn't gotten his hands on one just yet but it's for sure a great phone
Tech Spurt, where do you source your anime-based wallpaper?
