Great video, i love it. But i am sorry, the is simply NO WAY why Japan whould lauch an attack on Pearl Harbor. With indochina and without an embargo from the Britsh, or even the Dutch or the USA, Japan would have enough resources to attack China. The invasion of the far east, the Army branch would be strengthen and Yamomoto whould not have the resources to attack.
Agreed. And to add to this, after essentially every major Chinese port was seized by Japan, most allied resources went through the Burma Road, controlled by the British. Since Britain and Japan are allies in this timeline, that route would be cut off, so there's simply no way for the Americans to send a significant amount of resources to China and aid them. There's absolutely no way they would have bombed Pearl Harbour in this timeline.
I agree. And why would the British even support a nation who’s actively committing genocide in China as well as experimenting on Chinese Civilians in Manchuria?
Yeah I assume he just wanted the scenario to be longer than “uk blockades Europe, Germany uses tanks and destroys the axis end” , but (as a German myself, small bias) it would’ve likely been more smooth and satisfying ish for a resurgent democratic Germany
I think instead of Wilson letting Austria unite with Germany, he would let them have a plebiscite instead, which sounds a lot more reasonable and in line with Wilson's self determination stuff, this would also help vorarlberg in joining the Swiss This would also be a baller hoi4 alt hist mod

I really enjoyed this, although I do feel like there would be much more political and social resistance to America joining the Latin Axis but who knows. Also, maybe it's just because I'm used to standard WW2, but it felt like way more countries than realistically plausible joined the war. Still an absolutely amazing video though, glad I stumbled upon this.

Brazil would not join Latin axis, im a Brazilian myself, and while Vargas was playing both sides, Brazil and Germany were great trading partners, and even the population would not have been interested in a war, and Vargas was smart enough to realize that if he joined the latin axis, Brazil would be just a country under USA dominance, which Vargas would definitely not want to happen, as even if he was a dictator, he wouldn't really want to join latin axis, its like Japan in this time line, dictatorship, but allied with the allies, since japanese interests would be guaranteed if they joined the allies, i see Brazil doing the same thing.
In the beginning, Brazil had good relations with Germany until later when the Royal Navy in OTL blockaded Germany and Italy. In this timeline, the same thing would play out, except the US Navy would be the ones that are enforcing the blockade. Brazil's economy depended on agricultural exports and industrial imports and Vargas wanted investments to create industries in Brazil. With the blockade of Germany, Brazilian exports went only to the US. Germany can't offer anything to Brazil because of the blockade, while the US, which already had a strong Prescence in South America , offered investments. Vargas would've demand investments in steel making in Brazil and the US did that as a form of exchange with greater alignment towards the Latin Axis. Plus, the Saxon Allies weren't in a position to aid Brazil, whereas the US was right there with a growing army and large navy. Brazil's arms industry was also underdeveloped, certainly by comparison to the main parties to the war. To even participate on the Allies side the Brazilians had to be fitted out by the US. From a military-strategic point of view Brazil's position, joining the Saxon Allies is hopeless. Because one, the American Navy's presence in the Atlantic would've made it near impossible for Germany to send Military and Economic Aid to the region. Second, the Americans had already made naval invasions of Britain as well as advancing through Northern France. The main focus would be fighting the Latin Axis, not helping Brazil.
I came from the “Not Realism” video, this is an excellent alternate history scenario and video! In regards to the UK I’d predict the eventual dissolution of the United Kingdom, allow me to explain. Inspired by Irish unification and having experienced occupation from both British Governments, as well as the much more lenient Labour being in charge; Scotland’s desire for more freedoms would be much more prevalent in this timeline, this would likely result in Labour giving them a Parliament much quicker than they did in our timeline. The toll the war would take on the British population and general upset at Westminster’s past incompetence would lead to an earlier Scottish independence referendum, I believe if this happened earlier (even in our own timeline) the referendum would just narrowly pass. Scottish Independence would be catastrophic for the UK government in the aftermath of this WW2, independence sentiment would sweep across the much weaker Britain resulting in reliance on Germany or collapse. I may be biased as I am Scottish, so take this with a grain of salt.

Would the Salazarist government in Portugal really still respect the British alliance against Franco? Even after supporting them in the Spanish Civil War? This era is full of betrayal and non-commitment, so it's not out of place for Portugal to choose neutrality.
I really love this scenario and I'm suprised it has so little views but I don't really understand why Poland and later Intermarium is so underrepresented on the eastern front, you only seem to mention german soldiers in there while I feel like the Intermarium could have more manpower than Germany
my thoughts exactly! Also, I hope the nation would democratise soon after the war... I hate seeing my brothers being non-democratic. Poland would be a lot more prominent in this war than it was in our timeline, and I could imagine them having a lot larger influence in the final peace conference. I also really fucking hate this whole Intermarium idea of annexing Ukraine. It is an insanely stupid idea, looking at how Yugoslavia turned out, but hey, I guess alternative Śmigły-Rydz didn't have foresight☠️
No side is good or bad like our timeline. The saxsons nuked staling rad, but they ware democracys. The Latin axis was similarly complicated when the US joined them.
So, I haven't watched more than the first two minutes of this yet, but I have to say, the answer to the question at 1:45 seems pretty obvious. I mean, once post-WWI USA commits to one side in a total war, the winner's pretty much decided, isn't it?
Me at the beginning: damn this is a cool scenario Me when Japan still attacked Pearl Harbor: What the fuck Me when they explained the reasoning: This is as dumb as saying "somehow, Palpatine returned" There is literally no convincing enough reason that a Japanese Empire that is not starving for resources like in OTL, because they have access to the entire British Empire resources, would deliberately attack the US. Well as long as the Saxon Allies still destroy the Latin Axis or at the very least it ends in a Cold War (I haven't finished the video), then sure; but that was the dumbest part of this scenario
This was a fun alt hist but it seems strange that japan would still preform pearl harbor. Without america it seems the war would have been done by the 30min mark
I screamed “NO” and almost cried while watching this video I think you can probably tell what country I’m from with that information and my profile picture
Love this but only one addition, there should be a monarchy resurgence in Britain proper, after the war lost its colonies. Britain would put the King back in charge and u decide how that would play out with the other kingdom in Canada. And maybe a Prussian uprising that destroys the union of Ukraine and Poland.
I was fucking praying that Poland won't annex Ukraine and just agree to the German terms. Way better to have the corridor than govern a land full of Ukrainians who really don't won't be ruled by non-Ukrainians... In our timeline it turned out horrible, and in this one Poland is on it's way to becoming Yugoslavia 2.0
But unlike Serbs in Yugoslavia, Poles are large majority and potentially could have capabilities to destroy any separatists revolt. Although it would be interesting to see how war of Ukrainian independence against polanization would occur in TTL, especially if Russia will get itself involved...
I dont see how italy would all of a sudden have the industry to support the war and be useful if germany got austria and the Italians financially supported franco
Hot Take: Anschluss and the Sudetenland were mostly justified and reasonable if the German regime at that time had been a reasonable one (which it obviously wasn't, I don't need to explain). Czechoslovakia was politically dominated by Czechs while Slovaks, Poles, Hungarians, Germans, and Ukrainians were heavily discriminated against. Invading the rest of Czechoslovakia however was mostly an act of aggression and imperialism which I obviously do not support.
yo @LoreDad, this has a hard beginning and its really good, but halfway you just make the US becoming the main character and getting territory for absolutely no reason. I know I sound biased since I'm both Canadian and Quebecois in particular, i feel like this could have so much more. Don't make the US invade Canada for no reason, and the reason you gave (Japan joining the allies) was weak since Japan's genocidal imperialism did not watch well with Britain's and alternate Germanys policies.
Hey, sorry about the intro. There was an editing error putting the trailer section in the beginning of the Movie composite. After the intro ends, and the first chapter begins, it should be a lot better.

Dude, there is no way the United States would ever have joined the Latin axis. They were powerful enough to fight and stand on their own. Even if they couldn't topple Germany and Britain, they could easily take canada, the caribbean, and the pacific, and then just hold forever. None of that requires any kind of collaboration with hostile foreign governments
I don’t get it, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, USA declare war on Japan only, people of USA only want to fight Japan, Eisenhower say British help Japan in Pearl Harbor but the US people still don’t want to fight British??? This makes no sense. It would make a lot more sense for Germany and USA to make their own faction, with UK and Japan left in the “Saxon alliance”, instead of the USA to join the axis, and for the Germans British and Japanese to be in the same alliance.
Thanks for your feedback. I tried taking a geopolitical approach rather than an ideological one. Do you think that it was a bad choice? How would you have approached the timeline?
@@LoreDadI think it is a bad idea to go full on in on either ideology or geopolitics. What I mean is that ideology drives geopolitics because ideology drives people and people drive geopolitics. The most agredious offense to this in the timeline is that Henry Wallace and Dewey are borderline fascist dictators when they were quite normal liberals
Proof positive that the Alternate History side of RUclips is both starved for creators that haven't turned to either the far left or far right and political commentary and that our brain is easily manipulated through "Ohhh look, pretty map!!". This is somehow both 'Alt History like fantasy football' (having Montgomery and Rommel together, whatever the hell that the UESR is) and halfway good.
this timeline makes no sense. Why would Japan still attack the US? Would the UK not have negotiated with the US to lift the embargo or at least maintained that the US was off limits?
This is a fair critique. I admit that Japan bombing Pearl Harbor was the least plausible aspect of project stresa. However I believe the British would have accepted this plan in order to quickly secure China I like your uk negotiate with USA to lift japans embargo idea. That would have been a good solution
"the americans finally accomplished their mission of eliminating threats to democracy in Europe." They literally supported fascist governments against democracies
For number 1 it would just mean that it takes longer for Ottomans to fall an possibly are a greater asset to germans in WW2, in Option 2 it honestly wouldn't change that much because either way In WW1 they still would just be an extension of the front to lower the focus on the european front
there can be slight changes that alter the ending for the ottomans like by not allowing the German sailors to attack the Russians form the black sea which would keep them out of the war@@KiraiKatsuji
@@soudino2723 Yeah i get that but it wouldn't have any serious change in the end just a slightly different war that wouldn't make the end that much different from our own

Um dos motivos pra eu acreditar que a Turquia ficaria neutra ou entraria nesse eixo é a união soviética, já que até na nossa realidade um dos motivos da Turquia não ter entrado no eixo foi a união soviética
France italy ussr spain and usa couldnt defeat the weimar republic? Makes total sense 😂
Lore of An Alternate WW2 Documentary: Project Stresa momentum 100
This is suxh an insanely ideolohically inconsisstent timeline
However I believe the British would have accepted this plan in order to quickly secure China
I like your uk negotiate with USA to lift japans embargo idea. That would have been a good solution
"the americans finally accomplished their mission of eliminating threats to democracy in Europe." They literally supported fascist governments against democracies
Yes, it’s meant to not make sense. It’s their own perspective on the situation. Trying their best to spin a narrative that ignores their sins
so a fucked up plathrough of fuhrerreich?
What if the ottoman empire never joined ww1 and resurged after the discovery of oil? Or what if the ottomans won the balkhan wars?
For number 1 it would just mean that it takes longer for Ottomans to fall an possibly are a greater asset to germans in WW2, in Option 2 it honestly wouldn't change that much because either way In WW1 they still would just be an extension of the front to lower the focus on the european front
there can be slight changes that alter the ending for the ottomans like by not allowing the German sailors to attack the Russians form the black sea which would keep them out of the war@@KiraiKatsuji
@@soudino2723 Yeah i get that but it wouldn't have any serious change in the end just a slightly different war that wouldn't make the end that much different from our own
if this was more realistic france and italy would just die in two seconds seing how shit they were in ww2
