Changed my Camaro oil for the first time today because of this vid. Really appreciate it!
Thank you for the comment. I'm glad my video was helpful to you :)
good video, my camaro is exactly like yours, yellow v-6 convertible. There are 2 suggestions I'd like to make though. First, when installing an oil filter, the O-ring/gasket should have a light coat of oil on it. This helps the filter go on easier and it prevents the DRY oil ring from grabbing the mating surface and distorting as it drags as you tighten the filter. A false feeling could result in the filter not being seated well enough.
The second suggestion is that when pouring oil from a jug, the spout should be on top, not the bottom. The reason is that when the spout is on the bottom the container may be short of air pressure. This will give you the glug-glug-glug of oil being poured which has a tendency to splash oil as it finally gets that gulp of air. With the oil spout on top, atmospheric pressure works with you and you won't get the glug-glug-glug problem.
Helpful video though.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will take them into account on my next oil change
Thanks for the video , great tutorial.

Good Job My Friend !! Excellent Safety Tips, Thanks a Lot For Sharing ...
Thanks for the comment!
Thank you
Thanks bro
Nice instructions, pretty easy. What did you use to yellow stripe the grill? Your other Camaro is sweet!
Thank you. I used Rustoleum automotive spray paint to paint these stripes
Thank you Sir.
You are welcome
Hi Bro nice video. It is very helpful for the change oil. I have a question, do I lose guarantee if I make the change oil by myself?
Hi. Thanks! It won't void your guarantee if you buy engine oil and filter which is recommended by the manufacturer and keep your receipts as proof.
no, as long as you keep the receipts for the oil and filter. The Magnuson-Moss act of 1976 says you don't have to take your vehicle to an authorized dealer for stuff like that.
I only use AcDelco filters, for oil I used Motul and now I’m using Valvoline
Cool video , I was waiting for you to put on a full body condom for safety. Lol sry man I've never seen Jack stands used with ramps. And most people would say that it's better to drain the oil while still warm, if it's cold it doesn't all flow out
correct, a 5 minute warm up is good enough.
Very useful one more question when I'm done with the oil change do I turn on my camaro or not ?
No leave it off for couple years to let the oil settle on nicely or else you will have to buy new engine.
@@Gamingandhealth yooooo😂
Hey how are you I hope you and family are well question your grill did you have wrapped and if so how did you do it
Hi, thanks, man! No, the grill is not wrapped I've painted it
What type of oil you put full synthetic
The color matched inserts in your front bumper, top amd bottom. Where did you get those?
Thanks for the question. I painted them, originally they were chrome.
Jus_call_me_Murph@ig I had that same question thanks
Jus_call_me_Murph@ig but I like to know he did it
I got a question I got a 2016 camaro 3.6 with 100,000 plus miles what engine oil should I use?
I would use full synthetic, accordingly to the GM recommendations. In fact I'm driving 350Z as my daily at the moment which has 155K on the clock and I'm still using full synthetic 5W20 for it.
How much oil did you used?
Hey bro I have question the yellow on the grill did you color it yourself?
Hi, yes. I painted that with yellow spray paint. But to do it I had to disassemble the whole front bumper
Ika Jei wow is it easy tho
@@RobertJohnson301464 yes, it's pretty easy, just time consuming
Your coolant level in the video is low: the top coolant reservoir should be topped off completely, and the bottom up to about a 1/4.
But otherwise, thanks for the helpful vid. Ни разу масло сам не менял, а теперь понял, что проще-простого.
Is it camaro 2018 LT1?
You forgot to reset the oil life on the instrument panel
How did you bend the tabs on the jack stands
Can you send me a timestamp so I can better understand what do you mean?
How many km did you make after this oil change? Does it long lasting well?
I usually do oil change every 3K miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first
Yo tengo uno igual 2016 color rojo lo único que no me gusta es que no trae llanta de refacción saludos dese Atlanta ga
what oil filter did u use?
Thanks for the question. I used Mobil1 Oil Filter M1-212A
How Match öl fits in this Camaro
6 quarts
Speeds up the filter removal and plays the most annoying music to go with it. Nice set up for an oil change though.
Thank you for the comment.
What kind of material are those Ramps ? 🤔
This is what I found on manufacturer website
Strong as steel: the only ‘P.A.L.D.’ certified resin ramps.
@@ikajeiOFFICIAL thanks I’m gonna look into buying some 👍🏽
