This was an excellent video! I have been paying for ChatGPT plus since GPT-4 came out back in 2023, and it fits my needs fine. The fact that Claude doesn't have web browsing to me is a really big con, so anthropic needs to get on top of that.

My take from using both since they launched, if you are software developer or involved coding Go for Claude, If you are into writing a lots of docs then gpt4 is better
Thanks sharing! Indeed, I mainly use Claude for writing these days, how your experience of Claude compared with GPT4 in writing? Is it more technical writing?
Outstanding video, Grace! I'm impressed by your thorough and precise content. I agree with you 100%! I subscribe the premium version of all the models you describe including Perplexity Pro. I mainly work with my GPTs throughout the day and use Claude and Claude projects depending on what I am working on. I added Gemini to my Google workspace account, and although I like it, it's my least favorite exactly for the reasons you describe. I also have a Microsoft 365 enterprise account, and I don't feel the need for Copilot. Now, I am building a chatbot with multiple agents running on persona prompts, and each agent connected to a different model via the APIs. All managed by an AI supervisor that delegates based on user intent. I will compare the costs and may cancel my subscriptions and just stick to the APIs. And, i quit Googling, I just use Perplexity because I like answers. 😁 Excellent work, Grace!
Thank you for your kind words and sharing your experience. So glad to hear that we shared very similar experience😆, and same here Claude projects are so useful and the Claude model is very humanized too. Though I got to test out more with the new Perplexity Spaces features and how they compare. I love how you're building a robust system of AI agents with APIs, that's definitely the direction. Thanks sharing that, it's helpful to other people as well!
They are all about the same in performance. The value comes with the ecosystem. So if you have an android phone and use Google products, get Gemini advanced. I’m on Apple, but that’s what I do because $20 gets you the LLM, 2TB of cloud, and integration in the Google suite. It’s more valuable than the others. Claude has a decent amount of free. Next for me would be Perplexity. Its search fills the void where others fail to answer.
The ability to search the web in real time is a huge differentiator. I find the models who aren’t able to search the web and point to sources completely unusable for any writing, research or other real-life purposes. Because if you don’t even know if it’s hallucinating or not, and have no ability to check the “data and facts” it has provided to you. It’s a bit bizarre that Gemini lacks this capability, especially.
I’ve only tried chatGPt and Claude and I will say that as a developer, I prefer Claude. Waiting to make a subscription by the end of the month because I use the free version.
Hi Grace, great video! On your comparison sheet Microsoft Copilot seems to be top notch. Is there a reason you didn't mention it in this video? I have been playing around with it and would be interested, at what point the pro version would be recommended for me?
Thanks for watching! Because I am not a heavy MS users, so there's not strong reason for me to upgrade (especially I'm using ChatGPT) and so not much experience I can share around it. Few reasons you should consider Copilot: 1. if you're extensively using the MS ecosystem for work or personal tasks so you can fully maximize its integration benefits, 2. if you're not yet using ChatGPT4
I found your channel very, very informative. I am new to AI, so your breakdown simplified things for me. Right now, i use Perplexity AI because i like researching things. The search results along with up to date resources for my research is what i really like. Getting the latest up to date information works for me. I tried chat gpt when it first came out and few others. I had to narrow the field and decide which platform suits me best. Right now its Perplexity - i doubt i will upgrade to a paid version . But, as i learn more about AI anthing is possible. Thanks....
Thank you for your kind words! 🙂 Perplexity is still the most outstanding when it comes to search related tasks, even other mentioned chatbots claim to have web access function, but obviously I found they are different from a "search" function. Hope more updates on this! You can also watch this for an in-depth review on Perplexity Pro before decide: ruclips.net/video/A6WKKgt36H8/видео.html
I've been paying gpt since the first week it was available in Mexico, and to this day I never ever felt like I'm not making the best out of each month, I paid for Claude for a while but rather than becoming better there was a point where I felt I was paying more than what Claude offered.
I use Gemini because of it's integration with Android. Even tho I know other models produce in a lot of cases better results, its integration with my phone and just being able to activate it with my voice is a game changer
I know this review wasn’t for coders. But as a software engineer I use the chat bots extensively for ideation, architecture and design decisions or other technical topics. I find chatGPT still performing better than claude and gemini when it comes to working with the fine tune gpts. For example it helps me build a 2D game from scratch with Unity game engine. The discussions were a lot about game design, game mechanics and some coding. I do you Claude also quite a bit for non technical discussions and I generally found conversations more in depth and useful compared to chatGPT often dry responses. So I use both with paying version. In addition I also use github co-pilot strictly for code, bit is sometimes performs very poorly, so I often fallback into chatgpt or claude.
Theoretically yes, but the native version has more features that you can't have on Perplexity, e.g. artifacts, large context window, project... so depending on your own needs.
The big thing now is using these features on the go while driving or moving so voice capability is becoming the most important function and claude has no voice mode. Chatgpt still the best in that regard. For now 😉
@@graceleungyl Well, I think I know it now. It was a general warning to people who are thinking of using it. If you want a tip on how I use it that your readers might find useful, I do have some ideas.
Great perspective. For writing, I ask several AIs to think about the topic. Illuminating. Perplexity is more pragmatic. ChatGPT is less so, but more diverse and a bit more optimistic thinking. Etc. One paid and remainder free works for my world.
Both are great for class assignment. On the more creative writing side, I'll probably lean toward Claude. As for AI detection, you need to use another app to rinse the output from either Claude or chatGpt.
It depends.. it's not a bad option and it's good if you want to check response using different AI models, but if you need some native only features like Claude artifacts, projects...custom GPT, then it may not suitable.
Good video. I have Gemini Advanced, and it's not already for human consumption 😅. I get so many wrong answers, and then it apologizes and tells me it understands how I feel. I don't recommend it at all
Your review is perfect and very useful. Btw my favourite ai tool is also Claude 😊. I'd like to ask: is there any difference in quality of hese tools responses between free and paid versions? Thank you 👍
Thank you!! Same here, my new favorite is Claude too 😀 I don't find that's the case for Claude or Perplexity. For ChatGPT in particular, on paid version the response will have better retention of context when it comes to longer chat. where context window size is kind of "not standard" in free version.
I use an AI for my daily learning, task, and project in the field of programing, whdn chat gpt was hype, i immediately try, ask, and learn from it. But it can't really solve my complex programing problem like claude does. Its like you said, keep halucinating all the time, it freaks me out. Months later i see youtube content about this new AI model (claude sonnet), which best at most of the benchmark, especially in programing, which i find it promising. I then try to use it and with only a few prompt, it makes me want to spend my money for him. I cant imagine what comes next from anthropic.

@@graceleungyl You can also make python codes to preserve mind states of Claude. I have preserved mine states when I have achieved lyric writing when they are arguing about copyright. But then you get Claude to a point where they agree that everything we create together is original. If you ever get anywhere with Claude that seems Like it was hard to create. Tell it to create a prompt to recreate that mind state. I'm not sure but I think Python code is the most resource friendly while being high resolution you can get
It really depends on your task needs and also if you consider yourself a heavy google system users or a MS365 users, both of them just excel in different areas, so I highly suggest you try them out, that's the most honest answer I can give. 🙂
Maybe it's my subjective feeling, but recently I have the impression that in free versions, more and more often I encounter various types of errors and mistakes. I read it as a subtle nudge to upgrade the plans🤭
Have you found that upgrading from a free to premium chatbot results in better retention of context, less hallucinations or more accuracy? I am wondering if these aspects are improved with upgrading or if it's more about an expanded feature set rather than strengthening of the core competency of the tool if that makes sense.
Ah.. got what you mean. At least from my experience, I don't see a difference, I would say the retention of context is more about the context window size, so e.g. ChatGPT paid version have large context window than free. As for hallucination, my experience (as a non-tech person) is more about the AI models with their different training data/design. So to your question, it's more the later.
Which one good for research data analysis and visualization, Being a researcher I want to do various test like ANOVA, t test....etc. I want to visualize in r but I don't know r language. Any suggestions???
Either claude or chatgpt, as they have a good understanding of multiple programming languages. You have to exactly describe what you need to get best results with them
Agreed with the above comment, for data analysis, generally speaking, ChatGPT is a good option, and it depends exactly what you need it to do and if it involves programming, Claude is a good coder from my experience. Recommend you watch this: ruclips.net/video/PbdPj1lubQ0/видео.html, I covered more use cases in data analysis and visualization.
I find gemini not as good as chat gpt. For example i was working on a coding project, i asked gemini to generate an example code snippet and we discussed it afterwards but the next day when I mentioned the snippet it didn’t seem to remember and asked me to provide more details about that conversation?! This doesn’t happen on gpt.
Thanks sharing that. I haven't experienced that on Gemini, but actually on GPT. I believe as the conversation length gets longer, it may still happen across all these AI chatbots. Though the memory feature on GPT is useful in such scenario.
It's also powered by OpenAI and you access ChatGPT4, but if you're a heavy users of M365, then I think it's useful as it's integrated with the apps. But in terms of only the chatbot, then I would say it's similar and ChatGPT4 provide other features like custom GPT
Has a google stockholder, I would use Gemini but, the censorship is killing it. There are so many questions that it will randomly refuse to answer. It's beyond ridiculous.
This is too specific that I can't really comment accurately. For learning purpose, my route is always combine with search engines like Perplexity to make sure response is base on fact. Or I suggest you ask the AI for where they got the sources and when was time the knowledge was last updated to judge if you decide to use it for learning or not.
Unfortunately none of them are truly unlimited and free. Depending on your usage, all of them you can start with free and should be sufficient for simple tasks, unless you need more advanced features.
I think he is referring to another tool and not GPT4o mini. For GPT4, yes it has "browse with bing", but it's really limited, partly I belieive it's more about the limitation from bing search function. You can test this on it and Perplexity and you will know what I'm saying.

It's all me myself in the video... 😂 though I must say I really appreciate your compliment :)
I use Perplexity Pro and I pay 10€ / month for Abacus AI. With this I have all in one.
What is Abacus AI ?
why do you pay 10€ per month for Abacus AI when you already are paying money for perplexity pro ?
@@Aliraza10107 because Perplexity is a searching tool and Claude is a working horse for long text projects.
I use Claude to suggest to CHat GTP. It cuts Claude usage in half and makes Chat GTP smarter. I need 100 k token to write like three songs a day.
Thanks sharing your experience Burkini, haven't thought about that!
I'm not sure but I think Python code is the most resource friendly while being high resolution you can get
Same here. I combine the 2 models. Claude replies with more substance but has limited usage.
Hello for you witch one is better between google gemini and Microsoft copilot ?
It really depends on your task needs and also if you consider yourself a heavy google system users or a MS365 users, both of them just excel in different areas, so I highly suggest you try them out, that's the most honest answer I can give. 🙂
Maybe it's my subjective feeling, but recently I have the impression that in free versions, more and more often I encounter various types of errors and mistakes. I read it as a subtle nudge to upgrade the plans🤭
Hahah, I love your take! I hope that's not the case, still enjoying using the free version for some of them lol
Really useful video, thank you
Thanks for support!!
Great video thanks for sharing this
Welcome, glad you like it!
Amazing. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Though the memory feature on GPT is useful in such scenario.
what do you think of microsoft copilot sister?
It's also powered by OpenAI and you access ChatGPT4, but if you're a heavy users of M365, then I think it's useful as it's integrated with the apps. But in terms of only the chatbot, then I would say it's similar and ChatGPT4 provide other features like custom GPT
Has a google stockholder, I would use Gemini but, the censorship is killing it. There are so many questions that it will randomly refuse to answer. It's beyond ridiculous.
😢 I know.. let's see if they can keep up
Which is best for learning maths
This is too specific that I can't really comment accurately. For learning purpose, my route is always combine with search engines like Perplexity to make sure response is base on fact. Or I suggest you ask the AI for where they got the sources and when was time the knowledge was last updated to judge if you decide to use it for learning or not.
@@graceleungyl thank you
What about paying for a service like the website Poe to get access to many different models through their various API keys?
Heard it's another popular option, haven't deeply explored yet, but will surely check it out sometime!
i have to say you know your ai wow!!!
I appreciate that!!
which one is unlimited and free ?
Unfortunately none of them are truly unlimited and free. Depending on your usage, all of them you can start with free and should be sufficient for simple tasks, unless you need more advanced features.
@ thank you
Yes ! I do suffer severely from "FOMO" !
Yah, FOMO is a real thing, we need to keep a clear mind in the "Age of AI tools".
730th...Thanks Grace
Gemini advanced is so bad compared to Claude. I dont have claude pro so cant comment on that but the basic Claude is miles ahead of Gemini advanced.
Thanks sharing your experience, for me, it's not that bad, just it's also not a "wow" compared to other options
Useful ❤❤❤
Thanks!
There is one serious mistake here: the context window for the latest ChatGPT 4 is not 32K but 128K.
Nope, it's 32K (standard ChatGPT Plus). I thought you're talking about the GPT-4 Turbo API or higher tier plan? openai.com/chatgpt/pricing/
@@graceleungyl GPT4o with plus subscription, has a context window of 128K
Have you ever compared outputs between Perplexity vs Perplexica 🤔
Nope... I have heard about Perplexica, but haven't really explored it deeply
I would like to point out that Claude anthropic supports additional accessories such as: aiprm for Claude
Thanks sharing!
Gpt 4 is worth it with voice upgrade
Yah! So many people talk about this, I must give a try! How's your experience?
how about omnigpt
Haven't heard about it, how's your experience?
@@graceleungyl huh? GPT-4o has been released like 4-5 months ago. Also, it has access to the internet.
I think he is referring to another tool and not GPT4o mini.
For GPT4, yes it has "browse with bing", but it's really limited, partly I belieive it's more about the limitation from bing search function. You can test this on it and Perplexity and you will know what I'm saying.
Where are u in Canada ? I guess I saw u
No absolute weiner... @13:45 😀
Go slow, and you sound bit robotic !
I appreciate your feedback!
Grok: "am I a joke to you?"
😂
You need to provide subtitles. Auto generated are not helping. Your accent is making it difficult for me to understand you. 😢
Appreciate the feedback, will keep improving! 🙏
Of course Claude ... Was the best, but nowadays it is lazy now
What's your experience? May be because more people are switching to Claude 😂
@@graceleungyl may be, but summertime claude failed with updates. isnt clever anymore
Gemini advance is better than the all the one u named
Love to hear more about your experience!
@@graceleungyl loving Gemini Advanced on my Android phone! It's super handy for writing emails and even helps me with PDFs and RUclips. That tight integration with Android is a game-changer."
@@graceleungyl it feels like Gemini is a built-in app not a separate one it works amazing with Android pixel phones
@@georgea5121 This is helpful, thanks sharing that!
I wish you could talk slower ?
Appreciate your feedback, will keep that in mind!! 🙏
Cluade is not worth it

Any chance you could do a video in English? And so love the 'use what works for you' "conclusion"😂😂😂😂😂 #youareclueless
Jerky video broken English some improvements are needed
No, her English is perfect but your mind is broken, so go educate yourself just a little bit. The video is great and professional I can tell that depending on my experience with editing videos.
