Let me share something interesting with you: Changsha is often said to be a place where you're likely to encounter Chinese celebrities. This is because the famous Mango TV is based there and frequently invites Chinese stars to film various shows. Additionally, Changsha was once a major base for revolutionary movements, and many of China's first-generation leaders, including Chairman Mao, studied there. The city is also home to numerous historical sites and cultural relics. If you have time, you can visit the museums and check them out. In short, Changsha is a fascinating blend of fashion and history.
Chang is one of the most "influencer" city in China and famouse of its super consuming culture and street food. Changsha lifestyle usually seen as earn 100, spend 200 life style the same as chengdu.
I don't think I can do that drag the stick thing; I am sure I will fail. However, I want to try everything you have tried. Thank you for sharing all your experience, especially your descriptions of various foods. 😃😃😃
Welcome and Thank you for visiting Changsha! wuyi square is famous for crowding! I also recommend places around Hunan University. Vibe is very chill there!
My wife and I went to a new supermarket yesterday and the crowd was as bad as you experienced on that street😂😂bloody crazy really, but you have to do it
There is a very interesting city square in the center of Changsha, which is a retro 80's style of Changsha city street scene, just like a time shuttle back 40 years ago, unique Changsha street, there are restaurants and ancient streets, in Hisense Square, the name is "Wen he you 文和友", if you have time to experience the style of 70's-80's China. I'm not from here so I can't explain the address, but anyone in Changsha knows it.😊
What an amazing day. Might also be to do with Chinese getting ready for Christmas, or midwinter solstice. Hope you can have a boat tripon the river and video the massive statue of Mao.
Love your videos thus far. Glad you’re enjoying China. How about visiting Hainan Island? It has beautiful beaches in Sanya, you can go surfing in Riyue Bay where competitions are held yearly. It’s expensive in Sanya though.
You have visited many southern cities during your trip to China this time, and I hope you can go to some northern cities when you come to China next time. I suggest you come to Harbin this winter. This year's Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival has an unprecedentedly large playing area and an unprecedentedly rich variety of ice and snow entertainment projects, which will definitely make your trip worthwhile. The Ice and Snow World, Taiyang Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival, and Ice-Lantern Garden Party are the main scenic spots of Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, and they are all great places to go. In previous years, various ice and snow tourism projects in Harbin were closed in mid February, but this year's spring may come earlier. If you want to come, it's best to come in January. In winter to Harbin must pay attention to keep warm, from head to toe should be prepared for the cold, so as to have a good play experience.
It is a tough decision to choose between to buy and not to. Not always the price but the immediate drive. For clothing, it is durable and you actually have a need for replacement once a while, so Reanne is not a impulsive consumer this time.
Historically, Changsha is a Military Strategic City, many battles had been fought including the Anti Japanese war as well as the Civil war between the ruling Kuomintang and the Red Army, if my history is up to date!
Changsha is such a vibrant place. I want to go there! It's not a forgotten MEGA CITY! They didn't even know it existed! They (West and the rest of the world) don't even know about it because of Western mainstream media and antiChina misinformation, disinformation, lies, etc. Thank you for your most wonderful videos. 😘😍🥰
looks more like smog than fog. happens more often with inland cities during winter. better than a decade ago but still a while to go to convert all fossil fuel use to electric. lots of rural areas still burn coal during winter for heat.
OK Ben and Reanne!!! Chinese phrase for "A little / A little bit" = "Yi dian dian" So it sounds like "Yi de~an de~an / Yi din din" SO "A little bit of spice" = "Yi din din Lah" OR "Do you speak any Chinese?" And you say "Yi din din" OK lady where you were ordering tea!!!! She was saying "Mayo" XDDDD like a bajillion times "Mei Yau" = "Dont Have" ......... "Yo / Yau" on its own = "Have"
Thats it im having a stinky tofu!!!! If Ben and Reanne can eat it and love it then i can for sure have one and im Chinese..... no ive never had one, my parents have always managed to talk me out of one for some reason! I think you guys had sweet doughy balls!! Bens Chinese is pretty good you know hes picking up a few phrases!
Hey Ben, did you lose your phone at the peanut candy shop? This is all I concerned ... Please take good care on your property although its generally safe in China ... If YES, don't hesitate to call for help by the police ... those surveillance cameras would help a lot ... If NOT, I would be happy for you, enjoy your trip in China!
if you go to the tourist attractions, you will see the crowd, all famous scenic spots were packed with people in China. some youtubers even complained in the video. this means a lot.
good old Wuyi square in Changsha, just reminded me of my stay in Changsha 30 years ago, wonderful and loving people. I believe Hunan province has the spiciest food in the world, it's my most favorite cuisine in the world as well.
Yep. Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Metropolitan area is a thing, not to mention he spend most of his early life in within the limits of Changsha city proper
OH Ben TsingDao you need to go to Tsing Dao!!!!! You know Tsing Dao!!!! I know you do!!!! You mustve bloody drunk some Tsing Dao in Portsmouth probably!!! Youd be going close to Russia though! And Harbin!!!! maybe you need to somehow schedule youre itinary if you happen to want to go up North and want to visit Harbin ice festival and Tsing Dao beer festival!!!??? Cant confirm if its like the Chinese version of Oktoberfest!!? Never been to either but have seen both...... Oktoberfest is tons of cleavage..... Go up there and debunk the Western anti Russian propaganda!!!! SHHHHH i didnt say that! Plenty of tubers and UK and US tubers living in Russia debunking the West!
Suggestion: don’t eat too much street food, because it’s not healthy. Food security is a problem in China. You can try to eat rice in small restaurant, it’s not expensive, usually ¥15 yuan ~ ¥25 yuan, various options of meat and vegetables, it’s better than noodles.
IMHO China has the safer/clean street food than other countries. My Western friends and I have never gotten sick from eating street food and we have visited 5 Chinese cities so far. Of course use your observation skills and watch your surroundings before you purchase.
@@dragongirl266 I am Chinese, all my friends always keep away from street food. Of course sometimes we will try a little, but not much. Sausage is not made with meat most of time, some are made with not fresh meat. But when you don’t care about healthy problems and you are very young, it won’t caused too many problems for you as long as you don’t got diarrhea.
You guys really inspire me to get off my arse and travel that awesome country😘 Thank you!
The real life in Changsha starts from 10pm.
The actual bar street is just around the corner, famous for traffic jams at 3am, everyday.

If Changsha is a "mega-city," there are 21 such cities in China.

Changsha the capital of Hunanese culture.

Chairman Mao attended normal college there and his hometown city XiangTan is not too far way.
Changsha is famous by its stinky toufu.
你们真有勇气吃臭豆腐😢
Just for your info, million of Chinese people don't like that stinky tofu, and I am one of them. Hat off to you buddy 👍

在自己的土地上没必要会外语!
