Kelly needs to record an album with material like this! Imagine an organic, emotive album exploring gospel, blues, R&B, and country. Who is with me on this? We need to petition Kelly sooner than later. She would win awards along with a whole new fan base while expanding the musical taste of her already devoted fans.

I had no idea that 6 months later I would be listening to it at her funeral. I chose this song personally. We guitar players have definitely heard of Jeff Beck, but amongst non-guitarists, there are several that don't know who he is. The fact that Kelly Clarkson had heard of him and wanted to collaborate with him says something very highly about her. Also, look at that smile on her face. They clearly were overjoyed to collaborate together.

You can come to your own conclusions, but I'm not inclined to disbelieve an article just to disbelieve it. I don't think it's that extraordinary a claim that she suggested to have Jeff Beck perform with her. We're talking about a singer who did a wide variety of music on her Christmas album, wore a custom made Metallica t-shirt, and has shown herself to be comparatively humble.
