well, my fish did that for 3 days, and it died 5 minutes ago.
it doesn't play dead, it has swim bladder disease. its sick

the tank is normal size the only problem is that the fish are HUGE, they swim fine in the tank now because we toke out the decoration on the left side

my fish are small and do this when they see i go to sleep because they get bored without me. I have a good sized tank with 2 decorations. Love playing in them. Just probably sleeping fish

He has SBD try feeding him some cooked shelled green peas to help with it. You can go to kokosgoldfishforum for more help on how to correct the Swim Bladder Disorder (SBD).

That's not playing dead, it's a goldfish with a swim bladder issue. And your tank is too small.

I don't feel like he is playing dead I think he is going to die because he is floating and my gold fishes they never float so if I am wrong then sorry because I'm not a golfs fish expert!!!
