He doesn’t seem to have set options.

In light of the comment that DHA has a half life of 2.5 years in the brain and we use roughly 4mg per day, should we supplement less?

I was wondering if you can discuss or comment here about your theory on mal de debarquement syndrome? My brain has been on an airplane for the last 4 years. I am constantly swaying, bobbing, bouncing 24/7 after a 6 hour flight. I went to Mount Sinai and gyrostim, but nothing has stopped the rock or helped. Anything insights to help the MdDS community?

All this is way above my pay grade. But if the evidence regarding saturated fat is in doubt, and even whether dairy sat fat is different from meat sat fat, then I am now back to the point where I understand little about nutrition.

No Stephen, our understanding of saturated fats are pretty clear and there has been no solid evidence that it's benign. The good doctor gave us incredible information, however, on the point of saturated fats, we don't quite agree that there's enough information for us to doubt our already accepted stance of saturated fats. Saturated fat consumption has been associated with poor cardiovascular outcomes and poor brain health outcomes (stroke, Alzheimer's, vascular dementia) - at least so far!

@@TheBrainDocs Thanks very much for the clarification! Greatly appreciated.

The question that has been on my mind for awhile is are meat fats as bad as dairy fats? How about non fat dairy products? After following the amazing Dr.’s Sherzai since the publication of “The 30 Day Alzheimer’s Solution” I have successfully given up 97% red meat and chicken. I eat fish twice a week. My splurge is cheese. I am finding it very hard to eliminate cheese. I used to make a hummus with fat free Greek yogurt. I would eat a lot of fat free cottage cheese. Not I am eating a lot of nuts and seeds to get quick protein, so my cholesterol is up a bit. If I could get dairy back in my life, and be healthy, I would be so happy. I am a bit confused and need some direction on how best to proceed. I am proud I have followed the program, even though I have only made baby steps, I have accomplished change for about 1.5 years now. Overall, feel much better. I am eternally grateful for your guidance and summary of the existing data to guide me in hopefully preventing Alzheimer’s in my life. ❤️

Look up Dr. Goldner. She has proved that Omega 3 fats from avocado/chia/flax/walnuts are NOT the same as the omega 3s/6s you find elsewhere in saturated fat. In other words, there is good saturated fat and bad saturated fat. Stay away from the saturated fat that is high in Omega 6 and just stick to the healthy Omega 3s found in my second sentence. If you need proof, check Dr. Goldner out; the substantiations are all there
