Thankfully they arent culling them here, in fact, here they are allowed to THRIVE! Seyshells Felicite island is FULL of these hauntingly adorable creatures!
Looks like the Indian government have a mutch foresight as African governments. When the natives are starving then the whole world "must help" but the locals and there government put them in the situation!
wonderful beautiful animals I wish we could do the same to humans, call out when theres too many of them, id love that so very much, we are taking every single space from our animalsm, all of them, its terrifying to think of a world without them and with just humans , humans are so evil i cant imagine anything like that, I pray and hope these animals are able to thrive in Mauritius and everywhere else
Having fruit trees in the backyard can be a real headache...they're very noisy and the uniqueness Of the smell they release is quite challenging as well 😂. 🦊
hmmmm... "very noisy and stinky"... could say the same thing about humans... and most of the destruction they cause, is on purpose and for their own profit and benefit... how sad...
I hate bats.if you relied on your litchees to make a few bucks or to simply eat litchees you would wish they never existed.man I wish they could be eliminated
They are keystone species in many areas they live in. Here's some good ways to cope- small aperture netting that won't let them get trapped, fruit "bait" trees that draw bats away from the fruit you want to go, and lastly perhaps we could *stop encroaching on their habitat*. The top reason the bats are coming into urban areas is due to habitat loss caused by humans.

The biggest endemic mammals on Mauritius 🇲🇺
Wonderful animals!
Twisted logic - get rid of pollinators because they eat from farmers fruit trees…. Which wouldn’t exist without pollinators. I really dislike humans.
Bird puppy!

I called that COVID 19
Next time don't. Bats carries all kind of viruses.
Not all bats carry viruses. Some can, but not all, and this lady is from what it looks like, a wildlife carer who is trained and has vaccinations.
Next time don't comment on such as topic when you're uninformed. Rae's certainly right.

Big species of fruit bats are unique form of life, important both aesthetically and environmentally.

Maybe the government should not cut forest where they lived. They won't eat your litchees.
Do you not understand what an endangered species is? Put some nets over your fruit and let the bats live.
