I believe if they made a TV series of Xcom it won't give the same feeling and is only watched by a limited number of people, but this, this is drawing people to it. Take this episode and turn it into a tv series episode it won't even resemble this in the slightest.

I'm glad you're starting to see some of the recovery. Maybe gamify it. Look at every small advancement in your recovery and see it a goal achieved. My dad lost his leg in 2019, and as they decided to shut down the rehab areas, he had to teach himself to walk with a prosthetic. It was a process with a lot of falling and living with what was large periods of immobility. That said, he kept at it, and even though he gained weight, he can walk so well that the rehab facilities felt that he learned all they could teach him on his own. Step by step, bit by bit. Goal by Goal.
What's the reason 90% the time the target will move out of the aim zone and your actions will be wasted. If you successfully use it 7 out of 10 times please share a video of it. It doesn't take the shot until the next turn it needs 2 turns of standing still 3 turns will be used just for the target to move out of the way, I see it as a useless skill.
@@omerkursadnarinoglu3818 Playing with this mod pack one thing I believe is the tracking shot setup is a single action. So you can move and tracking shot vs standing still for a regular shot. I am pulling from a few days memory and will verify when I load up the game later.
Doesn't bring the rouge because of lack of damage output. Not 15mins earlier got super excited about the skill that literally gives +2 dmg and the potential output on another +2 with flanks. Not to mention it's a shadow unit for scouting. Either way I think the squad looks good just funny reasoning I had to point out

I've been running more by myself and with a few of the others. I feel better by the day. I need more range time though. Perhaps once Knightfather returns we'll try some range challenges. Glad you covering well, and I totally feel you on not be able to do physical exercise after a while, (I've been training and being personal trainer more Than half of my age) Good news is after the flesh wound heal and you have no pain stabilizing your cores you'll be able to do some exercise especially the one with the core/back support (Exclude leg press). You can't start with that and progress as the recovering go. All my best

At around the 30 minute mark, when you were wondering about the immunity perk, I think for those instances when you are not sure how a modded ability works, it is okay to save, test, and then reload the game. You are still being honest in that you are reloading because you missed a target or decided to change your mind about using an ability you already know how it works but are just testing to see if you do understand a new ability correctly.
Such a strange activation that revealed your whole crew happened several times to me. Always on this kind of mission. Don´t know what seems to be the problem there ... I'm sure it´s not because you got spotted. I always seems to happen after you activate the VIP, even though everybody is still concealed. And on a different subject ... I almost snorted out my coffee at 'never heard of personal space' !! Love it!
It's actually a semi-bug in the concealment code... when you make contact with the VIP, they are not concealed and have their "squad concealment broken" flag set as 'true', however there is also code that makes their concealment status match xcom's current state.. so for *this turn only* it grants the VIP concealment if the activating member was concealed ... When the game comes around (on the alien/lost turn) to check if *any* member of the xcom team has broken concealment: the VIP says 'yes, my flag is true', the game then ensures that squad concealment is broken by proceeding to break it on all other units... individual concealment will remain though (shadow, phantom, ranger stealth) ...

I’ve had a very similar situation happen to me in my campaign recently - it seems as though the game wants to reveal you as soon as you trigger the vip, but it doesn’t know how exactly, so you just lose concealment as soon as you have an enemy enter one of your soldier’s LOS (whether by your move or theirs) - I’ve never seen this mentioned as a bug anywhere but it seems to be present in vanilla so it’s not an issue with any of the mods you’re running. It may never pop up again because it’s very situational, but just something to consider if you have a similar mission in the future. Anyway, love the content, keep up the great work Commander :)
This campaign timer missions with Chosens are bugged too, the timer dont stop count with their revelation. For Rulers its ok, but for Warlock etc, its broken. Anyway great campaign, im really like it. Cant wait the moment when Chris meet Spark Ruler 😁
With so many different classes it is quite hard to remember all the different skill, perks and whatnot. I hope the commander sees that as positive stress. I thing "Duchess" can now have her shield upgraded now that you've reached a new armour perk. Also, we need a mod for dodging Berserkers showing them dancing graciously on the battlefield graciously wearing a Tutu :D
Problem is he's got that "mark for salvage" ability mostly or only on snipers and they can't shoot on the same turn of them marking if I remember correctly. This would mean the marked enemy would have a turn at his disposal. If that ability went on gunners or assault then I'd be with you since you could mark and shoot in the same turn
@@pillandredbased69 You could "mark for salvage" a tougher enemy or someone you know might survive the round. It stays on for 3 turns I think. Then in the second round you can bring in your crit-dealing soldier to try and finish them off. But I dont think Chris has even assigned this skill to someone yet.
@@thenewajontheblock nono he does have it assigned on Toaster (temnotic/sniper) and someone else (puddin pop perhaps, who is another sniper) but, as I said in my previous comment: by making snipers use that ability you're accepting that you wont shoot with them and dealing dmg is usually better than setting up for the next turn. He should use it when concealed and ONLY if the sniper has no ammo and there are few enemies left imo
felt sooo justified when you asked if there were any “friends… or suitors” for momo cause i got scolded on a previous video for calling bonding soldiers marriage 😂
----- Lieutenant Amy "Collux" Penton Log 20 ----- Well, that was a long mission. Too long for me, I think, I need a few days in bed after that. I got lots of kills, 9 in total I think, and we were able to get two more soldiers, Sergeant Halx “Caerbannog” Xakkes and Sergeant Dino “Nova” Zo, too which is very good. We were also able to take care of the Chosen Shadow Witch which will help in the long run for unlocking new ability training for the group as a whole. No promotion, but I think it’ll come soon… hopefully… It seems as though Palini and Jones are avoiding me, because I’ve not been able to find them anywhere, much less talk to them. Some of the data pads and classified files the others have brought back for me have only confirmed that Exalt is definitely back and helping Advent and the aliens with their occupation of our planet. Nothing else is happening, other than the comings and goings of Covert Operations and Infiltrations. The next main mission, which I’m relieved I’m not going on, is to Sabotage an Alien Facility. Love how my guy couldn't grapple back up the fire escape he just went down, but can pull a full grown fucking man from the middle of a department store, through a doorway all the way up the same fire escape... lol Make it make sense X-Com, make it make sense!
I have really enjoyed those mixed missions with advent and lost. Autoloaders are a must, but you feel really powerful when you are mowing down 20 units in a turn.
Nice work on that mission. I've had several bad experiences with this mission type. I just avoid Advent as much as possible when I do these now. Luckily they seem to stick to the middle of the map and I can just fight through the Lost along the edge.
I have had the same issue with concealment on this exact map! I think when you tag the VIP, even though the UI shows you are still concealed, enemies detect you as though you weren't. I don't know if it applies to all missions of this type, or just this map.
Caerbannog is a fictional location in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie. It is known for being the home of the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, a fearsome and deadly creature that attacks anyone who approaches it. I must admit i didn't knew this is the ave's name where the rabbit was. "Where is the monster, behind the rabbit?"
It will be interesting to see if the aggressive lack of expansion will actually have a negative impact, other than driving me crazy. It is definitely lengthening the campaign, but I am not sure if it is making it harder or not. I support through Patreon because one episode a day works for me, but it does feel kind of bad to be so many episodes behind. Nothing having more time and money wouldn't solve lol.
The mission length, title and thumbnail had me prepared for the worst... lol That new Rogue solider pickup is HUGE. She is going to deal stupid amounts of damage because vector classes typically have high crit chance and damage plus her skills will see her basically double her base damage straight out of the gate with a +4 damage. Low damage roll of 9 (no crits) with a temnotic at this point of the campaign is insane. I pray odd remembers to use her often and doesnt forgo choosing her class because he sees vector user and thinks lower damage.
**PERSONAL LOG #6 (Episode 20) Asa “Rapunzel” Brouwer After mission… on kitchen duty** ```What did they call this in the military? Kitchen… KP? Something like that, I think they called it in the old world. Yep… I did it. I threw the helmet at the armory officer. Funny thing with that, I broke his nose. Still funnier…. Central saw it. Just my luck he was down in the armory area to do some target practice. He saw how angry I was about the helmet, so he said he would have ordered me to the armory to help out. But seeing as I “attacked” the officer down there, he felt I should… his words “cool off” in the kitchen. So, yep… fighting the aliens from the kitchen. Little further along then you (no spoilers) , on that particular map ,same mission type had a INSANE number of enemies spawn , like 30+ lost and 6 or 7 groups with extra units in each group all that seemed to see me all at once , in the end all I could do was sprint at the exit and hope to live , I don't usually reload a save but that mission on turn one of combat in cover the high level units prevented the squad from having any actions , ether binding them , or stasis ect , got one action with one soldier and my entire squad of near maxed out troops died without really getting to fight back . Seemed like a pretty bad way to end the campaign. Still ended this mission in failure with everyone gravely injured and one dead. All that to say, Later game balance might be a bit out of wack, (I play on normal for gods sake!)
I just got 2 month into my campagne and I got the dark event where every enemy gets 4 armor, which basically makes half my team useless. I can restart by now cause it is zero fun. 3 Berserkers with 4 armor against guns that deal 4-6 dmg, good luck 😂
Don't know if it's meant to be so and I haven't seen anyone mention it but Caerbannog (Kaerbannog) is Gonna Break written backwards. Not sure if it is a Monty Python thing or not.
You were very lucky with the Taipan. That last corrosion could have gone into your group. Instead shooting it you shot Lost, even if they clearly were focused on that Taipan. Falling back is simply no option for you, right ?
Does anyone play this with mods on a Steamdeck? I only have had consoles. I saw that you're able to hook a steamdeck to your TV, and it would be great for traveling.
Can someone show me the math regarding conduit thing? How putting Psi-Lab or Shadow Chamber on it is better than +10 power from Power relay (+ additional 5 with elerium battery or sth) ?

Just a 'Better overwatch' is what it should be.

I had a shadow unit with 22 mobility when I had the viper suit and the sonic rifle on. Gave them memetic skin and they were cruising.

That plunderer skill where you do increased crit against loot carrying enemy could be OP if combined with the "Mark for LOOT skill" :D hehe
Problem is he's got that "mark for salvage" ability mostly or only on snipers and they can't shoot on the same turn of them marking if I remember correctly. This would mean the marked enemy would have a turn at his disposal. If that ability went on gunners or assault then I'd be with you since you could mark and shoot in the same turn
@@pillandredbased69 You could "mark for salvage" a tougher enemy or someone you know might survive the round. It stays on for 3 turns I think. Then in the second round you can bring in your crit-dealing soldier to try and finish them off. But I dont think Chris has even assigned this skill to someone yet.
@@thenewajontheblock nono he does have it assigned on Toaster (temnotic/sniper) and someone else (puddin pop perhaps, who is another sniper) but, as I said in my previous comment: by making snipers use that ability you're accepting that you wont shoot with them and dealing dmg is usually better than setting up for the next turn. He should use it when concealed and ONLY if the sniper has no ammo and there are few enemies left imo

Well, that was a long mission. Too long for me, I think, I need a few days in bed after that. I got lots of kills, 9 in total I think, and we were able to get two more soldiers, Sergeant Halx “Caerbannog” Xakkes and Sergeant Dino “Nova” Zo, too which is very good. We were also able to take care of the Chosen Shadow Witch which will help in the long run for unlocking new ability training for the group as a whole. No promotion, but I think it’ll come soon… hopefully…
It seems as though Palini and Jones are avoiding me, because I’ve not been able to find them anywhere, much less talk to them. Some of the data pads and classified files the others have brought back for me have only confirmed that Exalt is definitely back and helping Advent and the aliens with their occupation of our planet.
Nothing else is happening, other than the comings and goings of Covert Operations and Infiltrations. The next main mission, which I’m relieved I’m not going on, is to Sabotage an Alien Facility. Good luck ladies and gents!

I have really enjoyed those mixed missions with advent and lost. Autoloaders are a must, but you feel really powerful when you are mowing down 20 units in a turn.

Nice work on that mission. I've had several bad experiences with this mission type. I just avoid Advent as much as possible when I do these now. Luckily they seem to stick to the middle of the map and I can just fight through the Lost along the edge.

I have had the same issue with concealment on this exact map! I think when you tag the VIP, even though the UI shows you are still concealed, enemies detect you as though you weren't. I don't know if it applies to all missions of this type, or just this map.

It will be interesting to see if the aggressive lack of expansion will actually have a negative impact, other than driving me crazy. It is definitely lengthening the campaign, but I am not sure if it is making it harder or not. That new Rogue solider pickup is HUGE. She is going to deal stupid amounts of damage because vector classes typically have high crit chance and damage plus her skills will see her basically double her base damage straight out of the gate with a +4 damage. Low damage roll of 9 (no crits) with a temnotic at this point of the campaign is insane. I pray odd remembers to use her often and doesnt forgo choosing her class because he sees vector user and thinks lower damage.
I think the concept of Dreadnaughts are to be tanks with insane armor and firepower, which would lead to their slow movement

He saw how angry I was about the helmet, so he said he would have ordered me to the armory to help out. But seeing as I “attacked” the officer down there, he felt I should… his words “cool off” in the kitchen. So, yep… fighting the aliens from the kitchen.

At least I can use this as some downtime. Not going out on another Covert Action, since I am on “Mandatory Downtime” so unless Avenger is attacked, I doubt I will be called out there. Funny thing? Someone else went out on a CA and I spotted them wearing that same helmet. I just had to laugh. What is it with that thing? Why would anyone wear that helmet, if they wanted to stay incognito? Is ADVENT so blind they would think that we are one of them, cause of a helmet?

IMO Smoke and Frost bombs shouldn't trigger the lost swarm. They're not exploding anything like the frags or flashbangs which make sense.
I just got my first kill on choose from last season gameplay
Little further along then you (no spoilers) , on that particular map ,same mission type had a INSANE number of enemies spawn , like 30+ lost and 6 or 7 groups with extra units in each group all that seemed to see me all at once , in the end all I could do was sprint at the exit and hope to live , I don't usually reload a save but that mission on turn one of combat in cover the high level units prevented the squad from having any actions , ether binding them , or stasis ect , got one action with one soldier and my entire squad of near maxed out troops died without really getting to fight back . Seemed like a pretty bad way to end the campaign. Still ended this mission in failure with everyone gravely injured and one dead. All that to say, Later game balance might be a bit out of wack, (I play on normal for gods sake!)

I just got 2 month into my campagne and I got the dark event where every enemy gets 4 armor, which basically makes half my team useless. I can restart by now cause it is zero fun. 3 Berserkers with 4 armor against guns that deal 4-6 dmg, good luck 😂
