Morissette is multi-talented, can sing anything, has a much wider vocal range, wasn't on Britain or America's got talent, great personality, and most vocal coaches (professionals) agree. If I didn't know what love is after 70 years, I learned what it is listening to Angelina sing this beautiful ballad. I have been to see Foreigner and heard this live. While it was good, Angelina 's cover reinforced the love I have for her abilities to make an old familiar song brand new. To make it hers.

I choose to listen to AJ more often but... that's about the only response I can give except, I appreciate that you feel so strongly about Mori and hope everyone gets to experience her performances and gets to know her as a person.

I can't believe I stumbled on this. Growing up Foreigner was my all time favorite band, fast forward 30 plus years angeluna Jordan is by far my favorite singer. I knew I had good taste.

You are absolutely right 👍. This young lady is so incredibly talented and genius in her different forms of delivery. She is going to be top of her game for many many years to come. I have been listening to her since she started in the US and she just keeps getting better and better.
Alan, and yet another great podcast to spotlight the genius of Angelina Jordan. I am a fan of opera to country, and proud of it, all great music moves me, but none like AJ.
A few days ago, I came across this girls' performance at a TV contest (old one) ,and I can tell she's one of the kind, she was born to sing! she's' beautiful and her talent goes beyond that! Thanks God for sending angels to sign in earth for us.

When we finally got to Angelina, I lost my breathe and got chills, but none of the others brought this on.
I'm speculating that Angelina's RR mentor Rob Christie is exposing her to the many bands and artists that he is familiar with and what she might cover beautifully and resonate with.The fact that she is still progressing quickly musically shows the wisdom of her team and her unrelenting drive.

I'v been in the music world since ever, many performances made my feelings and emotions react deeply, but nothing like Angelina Jordan did. Her interpretation of Bohemian Rhapsody is astonishing and whenever I hear her sing my tears flow effortlessly just like the first time. She's a blessing.
Original can not be beaten. Many singers seems to have a need to showcase their skills and not only interpret the beautiful song.

I remember Foreigner MTV and I thought I remembered a collaboration from multiple famous artist doing it for a charity cause. I absolutely adore Angelina Jordan. I think she's a genius in her own rights and just need that somebody to come scoop her up like they did Whitney Houston, Diana Ross , Patti LaBelle, Anita Baker,Sade and I say this because she has a unique voice and can also duplicate so many others. I'm not a singer or professional I just enjoy her style ❤️

You know you have a classic when the music and lyrics are as relevant today as they were in 1984 when Foreigner released it. So many fantastic bands from the 80's and many are still playing today. I am so glad I grew up in the 70's and 80's. This song has special meaning to me. I was going through a relationship breakup. Hindsight comes too late.
I am glad you had the clip of Julio Inglesias. His style is so warm and classy. I recently ran into a song by his son Enrique (Hero). Talent runs in the family.

As a guy who grew up listening to foreigner in the 70s and 80s, and have seen them many times in person, I just can't get into anybody else's versions of this particular song. I am a big country fan but it is almost offensive hearing Chetney and Davis try and do this song. Some songs work great for being remixed and covered but I just remember so many times just sitting back and soaking in the tunes and emotions of the original. Just found your channel and appreciate all work you put into your videos. And I am so glad you included the original.

When you played Foreigner singing this song, you showed Kelly Hansen (the current lead singer for Foreigner) on the screen; when in fact, the voice you heard was Lou Gramm (the original lead) singing. Nobody can perform this song like him. You should check out the original - mind blowing.
You are correct.
When I had the original video with Lou Gramm, it blocked my entire video so I could not publish it. The way I solved this problem was to use a different video with the original audio.
Hopefully, not too many people will know this or notice this- and hopefully it doesn't detract from the overall video

Hi Alan. It's almost impossible to challenge the original version of "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner simply because the lead singer's voice is so unique and engrained in our consciousness. You played many versions of this song, but every one of them didn't even come close. Angelina, with better sound quality, would have come closest, simply because she can bring out the emotion needed to pull it off. They all gave it their best shot, but so far, this song my friend, remains untouchable. Cheers!

This classic, can only be done by Angelina. Why ? Because she doesn't really know what love is as a woman, but somehow ,she can feel it. All the way to to the depths, bringing it out so that we can feel it too. That is in everything that this young girl sings.

One of the very best songs written in the last 50 years. Lou Gram was to original singer but had a terrible throat operation than damaged his voice. He was fantastic.
Angelina is a stand out from all of the others you spotlighted. No contest and I paid $400 for the wife and I to see Celine live in Vegas years ago.
