Mustaine is trying to get credit for more songs on albums than he probably did just as a few of you have already said, because he is still salty, he needs to build a bridge, I think Cliff was more of a genious along with James, Lars and Kirk, they were a tight unit.

Metallica did use more of Daves riffs and solos then what people are saying. Metallica onyl admit to some after they have no choice but to tell the truth for whatever reason. For example, Leper Mesiah from this album Dave claims he co wrote but got no credit, i have no reason to doubt him as he has zero reason to lie. Metallica use a lot of Daves material left behind and even Cliffs, that's why the Black album onwards they couldn't write anything near what they had before and their music sound kinda changed. After Dave and Cliff where no longer around all they had was James. Metallica fans like fans of any band will not see facts because they idolize. Metallica were sneaky lol, and i was a huge metallica fan, but where there's smoke there's fire.

Except he is salty to this day about being kicked out of the band and will never get over it. He will never get over the fact that Metallica outdid him in every way. Literally most of the songs with his writing credits are irrelevant to Metallica's success. Metallica's best and most relevant material was written by James, Lars, Cliff and Kirk. According to you when they ran out of Dave's material they became the biggest and most succesful metal band in history. Makes sense.

No mustaine solo appears on any Metallica record. Kirk re-wrote all of them.
