    At 2:00 min. If any seasoned guitarist listen's to this! He'd know that JIMMY is actually playing with one hand on the neck and thee other actually reaches over to pick the neck string's all in one motion,really! listen for the plucking of the high string's. Not for the average guitar player. People are applauding at the moment of the plucking. That's just ZOSO!!!

    • @Davilow
      @Davilow 9 лет назад +31

      The high notes he's playing are harmonics which are played by lightly touching the string with your finger over the fret of the note that you want to play and strumming/picking the string with the other hand just as you would for a non-harmonic note. No reaching or repositioning of either hand, just a light touch on the string.

      The song was initially recorded by Jimmy Page during the sessions for the album Led Zeppelin III in 1970, but was eventually released in 1975 on Physical Graffiti.

    Does anyone know how he does that at around 2:00? He's playing harmonics on the 5th and 7th fret but I don't know how he plays those harmonics while playing the other notes

    Homerun! Never knew this existed. Bravo Plus!. I'm learning this song in the C6 tuning (You know Jimmy, ha!). #$%^& brilliant! I knew he would Jimmyize it too (1:58-2:15). Pardon the over parodied Boston, but that is absolutely pissa. No other word expresses that superlative in this context.
    Have they compiled a list of Led Zep's "big with pen, not so much with music" critics from Big Press? Who or what were these creatures?
    I understand the shellacking was incessant.
    I want names and or Communist Party ID #'s. There had to be more bashable bands than this lineup of absurdly talented youngins. Jeees!

    " I wonder why he didn't include the middle section on the studio version of this song? " I think probably because he knew it wasn't quite right. It's a lovely tune. I think, inspired by a Jefferson Airplane song, but can't remember which. To those who claim JP stole it, what he did was use the tuning from a way too long dirge, and turned it into a timeless beautiful, short tune.

    • @Davilow
      @Davilow 10 лет назад

      Possibly the song you're referring to is "Embryonic Journey"?

    • @Breadalbaneman
      @Breadalbaneman 10 лет назад

      Possibly David, but have had a listen and not totally convinced. Is there another tune that they did in a similar vein, in a C-ish tuning. You may be right, it's a while since I heard it, and I thought at the time mmm? Bron-yr-Aur

      You got me. Post back if you figure out the name of the tune you're talking about.

    • @Breadalbaneman
      @Breadalbaneman 9 лет назад

      I will if I find it. Basically, find a Fefferson Airplane, or was it starship, dirge, in a C tuning, and that'll be the one.

    • @Breadalbaneman
