This actually brings up an interesting question, what kind of architecture are these future moon base computers running? Are they still X86_64, perhaps ARM or some other RISC based architecture. Perhaps they're some form of hybrid optical and quantum computing architecture. All quantum computers require classical computers to input commands and interpret results and optical quantum computers could theoretically work at most any temperature.
Why not? They got rid of the Facebook account requirement (aka you don't need to give your real name anymore), you have two functioning eyes, and live somewhere the Quest 2 is easily accessible... There's MORE than enough fantastic VR games to buy a headset for now!

I want 100 more PS2 era AAA games ported to Quest. This was a perfect match. The quest hardware can handle it, and the original development budget and effort shines through to make a way more immersive VR world than most Quest games.
The smart people will just wait for the PSVR port instead of purchasing anything having to do with garbage trash Meta of Facebook or whatever the trash wants to call itself..
After the success of this game, Rockstar announced San Andreas for Quest 2. I think many others will probably consider doing other popular Gen 6 console releases. I'm totally with you, though. Would love to see a game like Timesplitters ported to Quest.
The funniest part of this port is still the official trailer that calls the fear of chainsaws "Kanayaphobia", which is either an unpaid intern looking up the first result on Google or someone who knew Exactly what they were doing on the same level as the Goatse NGage.

Considering the near pornographic phone game ads I've seen on Facebook, taking out a few lines of mostly moderate flirting (ballistics line is inappropriate to say to a girl you just met, though) is absurd. It's extra crazy because having RE4 on their machine is way more effective an ad than anything I've seen on FB. I own ports of RE4 I haven't even touched yet, I'd love to mess with it in VR!

They've literally sold over 10 million Quest 2s in a year lol. That's like serious console numbers. The previous best selling VR headset was like 2 million in a year

That's not exactly true though, according to Qualcomm they've shipped 10 million units, that doesn't mean that's the amount that were sold, as far as we know that can only mean that that's the amount that has been shipped to retailers. Those are still big numbers but the wording is important there.
I haven't played the VR version, but goddamn is RE4 so replayable. I finished it dozens of times and yet I'm still not bored of it. What's funny is that in most of these times I wasn't even planning on finishing it, I just plan on dipping into it for a few minutes just to scratch an itch and the next thing you know I'm watching the end credits lol the progression of the game is just so well done. Once you pick it up it's so hard to put it down. I'm gonna keep buying ports of of the original game till the day I die.
They're not going to add back missing lines of dialog because a few people can't handle that they aren't there....There is also a better chance it pops up on PSVR than it would Steam.

Seems to me like really good attention to detail that you can mess up with the shotgun like that (around 5:36). Its usually called short shucking. As someone who has competed in a few 3 gun matches, I have actually done that with a real shotgun, where you think you've pumped it and yet there is no new round in the chamber.
I've bought re4 like 5 times now lol. Then I got it on VR, I've never finished the game, due to me sucking at it. VR made if more accessible for me and the first person view made it feel less cluttered. Not only that I can actually aim in VR haha. I thought it would be scary but I feel way more confident playing the vr version then I did any other port.
I got a Quest 2 within the past few weeks and I've been loving RE 4 VR. So far it's my favorite VR game and definitely my new favorite version of the game

Yes! Glad to see you checked it out! I've been playing this pretty nonstop, but ended up letting my brother borrow my headset so he could play it himself. We're absolutely loving this port, and frankly its my favorite one so far! I've only played RE4 on Gamecube, the original PC version, Ultimate HD Edition on PC, and the newer ports on Xbox One. All of those seemed a little too similar for me, but having RE4 VR was different enough to warrant a pretty high praise for me (And there's not a ton of amazing games on the Quest, so this was a great addition) Just hope it comes to PC some day lol

I believe that RE4VR is the definitive way to play the game IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS. It'd an incredible port and while things like Mercenaries being cut initially kinda sucks, the news that it is coming back as a FREE update is sick. Separate Ways and Assignment Ada I can also see making a return. I hope that Capcom decides to do one of thr Co-op games for another VR port, potentially RE5 since it isn't as large as say RE6. The next best thing I can hope for is a modern console release out RE Outbreak File 1 and 2. If they do get made, I really hope capcom keeps all the good things intact. Excellent video review by the way, as per usual!
I wish Bethesda took this kind of care when they ported Skyrim and Fallout 4 in VR. A lot of VR conversions don't feel right because the scale of the various assets are off and you notice imposter cards more when you have depth, but this game feels like it was built specifically for VR and it shows.

I can't even count the amount of times that I got jump scared by Ashley 😂. I can also personally attest to the grenade problem for women 😑. I found that briefly glancing down to look at the grenade first helped quite a bit. It was a little annoying, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

RE7 was my first VR game, and also the first RE game I finished. Mostly because it was such a polished VR game, and it drew me further into the RE series. Armature studios are cool, they also did the PSVita ports of MGS HD Collection. They added some new stuff that made the Vita versions easier to play as well, like accessing menus with the touchscreens. I'm completely off on a tangent now, but they even re-recorded a handful of the conversations to take these changes into account!

Ignore slateran, stand your ground. You don't "need" any video game, and by the time you're knee deep in your next one, you wont care about RE4VR anymore.
Give it a while, it's not just a timed exclusive thing probably. It is pandemic times, it'll probably take time to even optimize the port to another VR device (and they might not do that until Mercenaries is out).

It's seriously the best VR port of a classic game, and certainly the best standalone shooter campaign on Quest 2. Absolute wall to wall banger.

I can't even count the amount of times that I got jump scared by Ashley 😂. I can also personally attest to the grenade problem for women 😑. I found that briefly glancing down to look at the grenade first helped quite a bit. It was a little annoying, but I got used to it pretty quickly.
You have to admit, though. That is one hilarious problem to have.

Eh, as fun as it sounds playing RE4 in VR it still bothers me that Zuckerberg had to go and censor it. The Wii version will always be the best control experience for me.
He'll censor RE4 for dialog you'd hear on tv, but runs almost pornographic mobile game ads. It's the hypocrisy that stings the most.

RE7 was my first VR game, and also the first RE game I finished. Mostly because it was such a polished VR game, and it drew me further into the RE series.
Armature studios are cool, they also did the PSVita ports of MGS HD Collection. They added some new stuff that made the Vita versions easier to play as well, like accessing menus with the touchscreens. I'm completely off on a tangent now, but they even re-recorded a handful of the conversations to take these changes into account!

Ignore slateran, stand your ground. You don't "need" any video game, and by the time you're knee deep in your next one, you wont care about RE4VR anymore.
Give it a while, it's not just a timed exclusive thing probably. It is pandemic times, it'll probably take time to even optimize the port to another VR device (and they might not do that until Mercenaries is out).

Man, I wish Marvel Strike Force was a fighting game, maybe with tag and assist mechanics to rope in the team thing, and they could even use the whole universe colliding thing in order to pull a Fortnite and have guest characters, maybe characters from other games, like Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, etc.
I mean imagine Wolverine trading blows with someone like Ryu, I would pay anything to play that.
