I just removed the electrical connector that was attached to the actuator. I was able to access the connector without removing the tyres. Only replace the actuator if you want the fuel tank cap to have auto lock during the car locked condition. Thanks for the video
There are too many videos and cases where this happens. It's only 2022, the 2018s are only 4 years old. This shouldn't be as common a problem that it is. Mine just went out too
@@RBTheMechanic I'm still wondering what's going wrong/caused it? I have a bad habit of locking/making the car beep 3 times, wondering if that just wears it out even faster?
My car just started to make that same noise and now when I press lock on my key fob it doesn’t beep. I also noticed when I’m driving that it makes the “locking” sound randomly. And idk if it’s due to that but my remote start didn’t work the other day. Taking it in for sure
Not sure about the Renoir start! Do u have check engine and can u make a video so show me and post it on ur end of utube anyways try to listen to the noise where it’s comming from it could be this very common on these or one of the doors have similar lock part anyways it could be possable doors don’t lock and car don’t start
Where did you find the OEM version of this part? I can't find any of these from Honda and the ones that are available are from 3rd parties and they all have poor reliability ratings.
My 18’ made a sound yesterday. Is anyone know where can I find the parts? Any website recommendations? Auto zone and O’Reilly’s doesn’t have this part. Thanks !
@@RBTheMechanic thanks! I got the part already from Honda dealership and my friend fix it for me! I saved me 245$ for labor that the dealership wanted to charged! It’s crazy cuz so easy to change
Hey RB got another question my car doesn’t sound when I lock it. Where can I find the box for the buzzer I think it’s in the left driver side by the engine? 74940-T7S-003

Good trick I would replace it not expensive part and easy to do
How did you access the electrical connector to unclip it from the actuator? Without removing the tyre
@@TheSean021 u just need to remove the fender liner clips and u can see it
Thank the heavens this is super easy to fix. I’d love for someone to open up the device to show us what fails in it.
Oh I was going to do that will see if I still got this
I remember back in the day gas cap under rear license plate, no actuators or buzzers, good days.
