Watching RCE play and just be completely useless and then coming over here to watch you actually have multiple silos and understand how much capacity the levels of pipes can take and how the gambling works etc is so relieving

idk what they did, but its definitely not right. what happened to the working collision system to detect if pockets are on top of each other? prob just give it a month or two to fix the bugs and then it should be good.

The trick with the digging minigame is water valve control at the top right, and lots of moles. You only want to let water flow when digging through rocks because drilling through rocks without water really drains your money. Switch on valve when digging through dirt to not waste water on dirt. Get water pockets that the moles found along the way down to save more money. Maybe prioritize vertical long pipes instead of digging horizontally or doing short pipes because starting each short pipes cost more than just one long pipe. If you can avoid rock just dig around them.
I tried playing yesterday and found that either the extraction mechanics have changed, or something is seriously bugged - e.g. at 2:42 the pipe is connected to oil, but it's only extracting from the first pocket and not the second. it used to extract evenly (as evenly as it could) from all connected pockets, but now if it's connected directly to a pocket it extracts all from that first one before extracting from any downstream pockets.
I remember watching this guy in 2019 who casually got 4 and maybe even 5 per barrel (whatever the unit actually is about) (Even if all that was about gas)
If you know you're not going to sell petrol or oil to a business for a while, you might as well change it to sell the other thing so that you can see the price.

@@bensoncheung2801 no, the oil, refineries take water and oil and turn it into petrol, you can pipe the water directly into the refinery, but Tyler never tried to pipe oil into the refinery, which might automate some of the process

My only complaint with this game is AI opponents are way too easy. You can have dogshit runs and still come up first on profit.

The water pipes seems to be a toxic upgrade at this stage of the game, since it reduces how much water you have for refineries.
