Thanks Aaron. Just ordered my 75Ts. I'm not an audiophile so I don't know about soundstages etc... But your review convinced me that the 75T should be perfect for my gym time. I use bone conduction headphones whilst out running. Thanks again.
I think upgrading from 75t to 85t is not reasonable. The 75t is still very good choice even in comparison to the 85t in ovearall. The Call quality is much more better on 75t.
I had 75T’s, lost them on a job site and liked them a lot. Went to the 85T, and it felt like a huge step back. The battery life was meh, the fit was not great, and the sound was better on the 75T’s. I now have the Bose after returning the 85T’s and they’re really solid. They really should get an eq on the app, but the sound is still better and the ANC is ridiculous. I went to a laundromat with a bunch of kids screaming in it and I didn’t hear a thing. 75T’s are the best bang for the buck now, and Best Buy has a million colors of them.
@@widhi1473 the Bose quiet comfort earbuds. I ended up going and trying another 4 sets of earbuds until the Sony WF-1000XM4’s became my EDC and the Beats fit Pro became my gym buds.
The 75ts I can comfortably sleep with without feeling like they are digging into my ears as I sleep on my side. They also sit snugly in my ears without ever concerning me about falling out no matter how sweaty I am at work on the farm or in the gym. 85ts are a bigger case and bigger earphones, to uncomfortable to sleep with, better to just get used to doing so with my aony xm4s instead. The fit is not secure at all. Fallen out a few times when I have not been sure to adjust them in my ears at the right intervals. Say what you like about bigger speakers or digitally boosted base, these 2 points are a big deal to me
Got the 75t Active for $150 Black Friday, so it was an easy choice but... Had to buy aftermarket SpinFit 360 ear tips to stop left earbud constantly falling out. Now earbuds stay put, and I am 100% happy. Thanks for the great advise.
I've bought the 65T elite actives and 75T elite actives, but may skip a generation. I don't like that Jabra keeps doubling down on extremely bass-heavy, muddier sound, which comes off as unbalanced, paired with the obviously poorer call quality. I'll hold off and see what the 95Ts have to offer in a year or so.
I've been a long time user of Bose in-hear headphones and have also been using AirPod Pro since they came out and was hopeful these 85t would be close to the same quality (keeping in mind this is subjective), but as much as I've tried to like them, I'm sad to have to return them. They sound muffled and they don't do a good job at ANC compared to the AirPod Pro. Despite their 12mm drivers, I felt they sounded like they had a much smaller one and couldn't produce a rich sound. I had the 65t which were also not quite as full as my other headphones as far as sound was concerned, but I felt like the 85t were a step backwards, not forward.
So for music and anc 85T and for phone calls 75T. I'll choose the 75T because phone calls is a priority, because music I can listen it better in my truck or house etc.
Great video! I am glad I found it and am very happy with the Active 75t I have. Maybe the round shape & longer neck connecting to the ear tip works better for me. I tried latest Airpod Pros but they just don’t fit my ear even with switching to memory foam tips. These Jabra’s fit much better for me and have excellent sound and features. BUT I get a little ear fatigue after some lengthy (over 30-45min). Thanks for your video. I’ll check out your channel. Keep up the awesome vids!
I lost my right 85T earbud. I've seen single replacements on Ebay, but Jabra says you should buy a replacement pair or they may not work correctly. Is Jabra just trying to get me to spend more $$$?
heyyy this is kinda random but u should do a comparison of the 2020 best true wireless earbuds in terms of sound quality since its going to be the end of the year alr haha
People who enjoy the bass on the 75ts seriously need to learn the difference between naturally produced acoustic bass and digitally boosted bass. The 85ts have a driver twice as big! 12 mm vs 6. There is no comparison. They come with a flat sound signature this year but handle the eq far greater than most earbuds. Once you boost it just a little you will have extremely deep and resonating bass that will put most earbuds to shame.
@MauriceG85 I still recommend but the galaxy buds pro 3 have surpassed them. The 2 pros were already tied for first place. If you can find them cheap and in the box yes I highly recommend. The galaxy's have 10.5 mm subwoofers this year. But there is also a tweeter. So the large driver is used only for bass. Which sounds much cleaner and hits harder ever though it's a bit smaller.
@MrCool144 thanks for your answer. They are both on discount here. 85t for €154 and the PRO 3 for €204. But I'm afraid I have to look for different buds. I'm going to use them for sports(running), but the 85t has no warranty for sweat damage. I'm not sure how Jabra handles their warranty claims, but my history with warranty claims is not great. Leaning to an elite active 7 because I can't find new 75t actives and the bass sames to be okay on this one. Anny other suggestions are welcome. Thanks again.
I think Elite 85T is better, because Elite 75T received 36 updates since November 06, 2019 and till October 20, 2020 So I am sure when the Elite 85T will receive software updates as much as the previous did, they will become much better, also don't forget that Elite 85T is a brand new release of 2020 so I expect a good software update which will do a really good improvement to this earbuds, really good review Aaron I think your reviews are the best, thanks for all your effort
I tested all the buds in the store...and 75T sounded better for MIC quality than Sony and Sumsung..why? And the double usage thing only works for this or other buds as well?
Hello, maybe You know does 85t can work only left earbud without right one? Like Jabra elite 3 model? Because with active 75t if i want to listen only with left ear its not impossible. On 75t right earbud its main earbud, left one doesn't work without it. Thank You.
Thank you for this review video I'm definitely not impressed with the 85t elite active if anything going from 75t to 85t felt like a down grade! The fit was way better on the 75t active than the 85t, definitely hurt my ear on the bulkyness the 85t has. Im seriously considering returning the 85t for my 75t elite active. Don't get me wrong the 85t elite active is great sounds quality is deeper and bumps but the battery life and fit in my ear is a con for me.
The bass comes more boosted digitally. But the 85ts have bigger speakers and can handle a lot better when u boost it just a bit. They’re just flat out of the box this year.
Were you using the default setting for the ANC? I mean during the phone call record test. If so, I think I’ve made up my mind, I’ll go with the Active 75t. Thanks a lot for the review, it really helps!
Buenas, se agradece por esto, he buscado este tipo de información, para tomar una decisión y solo aquí entre tanto video y perdida de tiempo di con esto, lo cual aclaro mis dudas sobre cual comprar. Gracias
Bought the Active 75t today, returned them today as well. They sound amazing, but the price in my country equates to $250, if you can get these for anywhere around $150 they are an absolute steal.
There's a 80€ difference here in Germany, which makes the 75T a more interesting choice. However I'm going for the 85T anyways, since I don't like the "plugged up" feel of the 75Ts.
I tried getting the Elite active 75t but it seems that i'm having noticeable delays when using it on games(Genshin Impact, idle goddess) . Is this normal? Or I just receive a bricked one.
Hello, were you able to solve this issue? From what i know the Jabra active 75t only support aac codec for bluetooth connection and none of these fancier low-latency aptX codecs. So a little delay is to be expected and these might probably not be ideal for gaming.
@@tylervincent2559yes, it does, but the point is that the 75t in this video is not the one with wireless charging case that I’m asking for. So I wonder if the new wireless charging case for the elite active 75t is the same size of the 85t or the same size of the regular 75t without the wireless charging case.
I love the Jabra earbuds because of their design, ability to customise the sound and the anc for the 75t. However, over time I think I’ve changed around 5 brand new sets through the warranty and I got my set in July 2020… First 3 - 4 times was because of connection drops.. contacted technical support and they told me to clear the cache and Bluetooth memory on my devices unpair and re-pair the device.. It worked for a while then back to square one.. eventually after the ANC update couple of months ago for the issue stopped.. then a new problem started couple of weeks back left ear bud would be louder than the right.. went in to the service centre and swapped out for a new set yet again… I really hope this is the last time I have to go down for an exchange.. the sound quality and form factor to me is the best so far… I haven’t tried the Sony XM4’s or seen it in person but that might be my next choice if I am going get something new..
i have the 75t now i can grab the 85t for like $50 cheaper, wonder if i should grab them and return the 75? Just worried about the fit of the 85 as i use them for the gym?

Jabra makes office headsets, check the Evolve line. I would not recommend the Elite line for audio conferencing/meetings.
