  • In a small rural town close to Antwerp, Belgium we find a passionate team of engineers dedicated pushing the boundaries of analogue circuitry, designing 21st century synthesizers.
    The brand offers a novel series of high quality eurorack music synthesizer modules with a utilitarian aesthetic providing versatility and precision.
    All of their products are designed and manufactured in Belgium, keeping in mind their commitment to the art of analogue whilst designing functional tools to create sound.

    Just to be clear: we don't own this factory! 😁
    It's just a short drive from our office though, and all our modules are assembled there by local labour, solar energy and love.

    Thanks for the peek behind the curtain. Joranalogue products have always been exceptional quality, it’s easy to see how they achieve this.

      @@kingajanicka so there's a main Freq + Freq Mod on the left, then four columns A-D each having a Ratio, Offset and Duty Cycle control.
      This seems to imply some kind of sub-harmonic square wave generator. My guess is that the main section generates a ramp wave which is then normalled to A->D where each section can divide(ratio), offset(phase I presume) and set the pulse width. (or optionally be fed any other signal through the "in" input). So each section kinda functions like a comparator.
      Another use case would be as a voltage controlled clock divider. Which is exactly what I've been hoping they would make! So very exciting stuff indeed.

    Great video. I own a step 8. The opening experience is a step above most all or her brands. Everything oozes quality. And the module is awesome. I see more joranalogue modules in my future. Great stuff

    Hello, nice video. I was at BMD 24 as a visitor; and have been looking at your demo, which was very interesting. Loved your new Eurorack case, my question is are you also planning in future to bring out plack front panels for your modules? Thanks

    Buy one module and you’ll enjoy it. Buy two or more and you buy into a philosophy of patching that I think is distinct from other brands

    Interesting, but do they sound better?

    • @Overcrox
      @Overcrox 2 месяца назад +4

      The point is not always whether they sound better, but how they feel to use and what options they make you consider. You can eat soup with a fork, or spaghetti with a spoon, and you may learn something interesting in the process, but the other way around is usually more comfortable.

      I do think they have a distinct sound which might be considered ‘better’ by some, for certain use cases, however it comes down to personal taste 👅
