    Mike along with Craig Grasso were my heroes in middle school in the late 80s. Mike did the 900 before Matt Hoffman in the 80s.

    Mike D was my favorite rider as well and wow what a shocker when he went from Hutch to Diamond Back!! His metal flake blue Trick Star was always my favorite bike, but this one is pretty cool too! Thanks for the vid and the history, I always wondered the difference between the 86 and 87 models of the Strike Zone, thanks for clarifying

    Awesome. I had an 87' back in the day. Blue one. Sure wish I had it now. I remember putting some of them octagonal Dyno pegs on there lol and I believe I changed the brakes (at least the rear) to those big Odyssey Pitbulls. Good times back then riding, I wish my old joints and body could handle it now lol.

    Ok, so i've been looking back at the old days and trying to find video and photos of Mike D when he use to ride for Hutch. For me, it seemed like that was the era when he was King. (Just before Josh White, Joe Johnson and Matt Hoffman etc). But there is very little content out there showing that he was ever with Hutch. My question is, why is that? Is there a reason for that? Am I missing something? Bad blood? Litigations?

    • @eccentrickustomcollective7808
      @eccentrickustomcollective7808  Год назад

      In my opinion I think Hutch didn’t have the advertising dollars the DB’s, Haro’s and GT’s did. And back then ad revenue turned into magazine coverage!

    Good morning bro, can you make me pray... I have a Mike Dominguez frame and fork in Mexico... I just want to know if the towers for the rear brake are removed? And if they can be replaced by modern ones?

    • @eccentrickustomcollective7808
      @eccentrickustomcollective7808  11 месяцев назад

      You could remove them for caliper style brakes if like. Or find the correct Suntour rear brakes that mount directly to the 990 mounts these bikes came with.

    • @eccentrickustomcollective7808
      @eccentrickustomcollective7808  Год назад

      The Dominguez models all had rear standers and fork standers. The mike d hot streak did not have the top tube platform though, that was reserved for the strike zone only. Bottom line though, if you have built in standers on a 86-88 DB you have a mike d (or woody itson if the bike is an 88)
