Great video and very helpful, just got my mk7 golf R back box and going to do the same thing to my tiguan mk2 230hp,have been look for this mod and you have the answer to it,your a top man for making this video in good detail.
I really want to do this! I’ve got the exact same car down to the car 😂 I’ve just done a res delete on it and it done absolutely nothing! So now I wanna do this! But I guess it’s gonna sound even louder than this coz of the res 😅😅 Thankyou so much for the video!
Great job mate! Great job! BIG BIG like from Europe, Hungary. I will do exactly the same on my 2018 R-Line Tiguan 162KW just like in your tutorial! Thank You Again! Awesome!
Hello from USA! Considering a Tiguan to buy. EXCELLENT video. I appreciate the time and effort it took to make this video and I hope Tiguan owners do too! Great skills in welding and video production and creation here! *** Would you say the Tiguan's are decently reliable if an owner stays on the maintenance schedule with oil changes at 3500 miles? Looking for an owner perspective.
The Tig is a great car. With regular documented service history, you will have little trouble. I love the build quality, especially the interior comfort and materials.
Good evening mate Are you open to fitting a GOLF R exhaust on my Wolfsburg Tiguan? I would supply the exhaust and pay for your service. I’m very impressed with your work 👏
i have just watched this video. thank you for sharing. i love the way they you make and create something. on the Tiguan there is a weakness with the DAB signal in the UK, can you do a video of you making something new that will fix this issue?
Hi mate. If in Australia, you would be looking at $250 on average for a good second hand Golf R complete exhaust. I paid $170 for mine with valves. Miscellaneous stainless pipe cost me up to $100. I did all the install obviously. No further costs. To have an exhaust shop do the install is going to cost around $400-$500 I believe, from what I have been told.
Crackin job that lad but I actually prefer the look of the fake one’s to be honest love the dsg farts though👌🏻I’m thinking of doing something similar with my t-roc 2.0 litre think I might just whip the res off instead haha
Hello thanks for the vid! Quick question. Is this only for the tiguan All Space? Since the regular tiguans only have the exhaust on 1 side. Or will the allspace diffuser fit on a regular one ?
Awesome vid, thanks! I will have a go very soon. Qyestion: where did you get the 'TIGUAN' letters for the centred lettering? They look bigger than our standard on left side? Thanks a million!
Reporting back.... I have installed my mk7.5 R exhaust! Wow what an improvement! It really sets off the look of our tiggy, worth the upgrade on looks alone... let alone the new exhaust note! Whoa! I left the valves in too, so I can switch between 'wife mode' and 'husband/beast mode' by hand... both have a great note, just different types of grumble at idle and when giving it some... DSG farts in beast mode are nice 😎 Thanks a million for your video! You covered lots of points that went unanswered on the forums. As you said ' so stoked with the result, so so happy', I 100% agree! Shout yourself a beer mate 👍 Next up - replace the TIGUAN to be centre aligned. Then you can spot me on NSW roads 🍻👍🤜🤛
That’s what I thought, in North America the only available model is the 2.0 tsi 184 hp, also I am sure u have a different transmission then what is offer here in North America, anyway sound very good. Wish near future the will offer it here, I will definitely trade my Tiguan for the new model anyway nice video 👍
@@Enzo-zh3xk Surprisingly the market for Tiguan 2.0TSI in Europe and Australia has much more variety. They have a number of Petrol and Diesel options whereas here in NA we have the standard 184hp 2.0TSI. You can get a Tiguan in AUS/EUR with the same 2.0TSI tuned engine as the Golf R if you want. 322hp in a Tiguan?! Yes please, but I doubt we'll be lucky to get that in Canada or US.
I left the valve actuators in and their default position is open. I don't have any "boomy" sound or drone at all. It's all quite subtle when cruising but throaty when you give it some. DSG shifts sound great! 👍

Do you think any after market golf R exhausts could fit on the Tiguan (with the same amount or more welding than you did)? I’m honestly not satisfied with any of the Tiguan exhausts on the market and airflow wise a golf R exhaust doesn’t look like much of an upgrade in the airflow department. Sorry for rambling I’m just thinking hard about this.
Very underrated video! This gives me ideas for my 2021!
I love the sound from USA I hope I can have it done on my 2022 Tiguan R-line 👍

Cheers mate glad the vid helped you out. It's an awesome mod. Good luck with it.
Great video. Wish there was one somewhere on RUclips that was fitting the MK7R exhaust to the MK1 Tiguan!
It's nice they give u guys the dsg transmission at least in the states we don't even get that or even the more aggressive offerings of the tiguan
Usually it's the opposite, and we get dumbed down versions of models. This is especially true for American muscle cars, sadly.

Hey Grouse Garage, in the before and after sound check. Was there any modifications on it before? I didn’t know there was DSG fart on a stock Tiguan.
Completely stock. No mods. We were all surprised about that DSG fart! 😄😄

Stainless wire, CO2/Argon mix gas and Solar Flux on the joins.
