Just discovered your channel and what a synchronistic treat! As you were talking about making ink from the black walnut, I was jotting a reminder in my planner to make natural dye inks for my art journaling. Also, I live in NE Ohio but very connected to Appalachia as my adoptive mom was born in WV and went there every summer and my entire bio family is from KY. I used to have videos up but deleted them…I hope to start making more soon now that I’m rebuilding life from some major life changes. Thanks for the energy you share!

Walnut ink is the best! Poke berry is good too! Let me know if you restart your channel 🙂

I absolutely loved your video. This was my favorite vid to this VR. It felt so thoughtful, so deep, so sweet. My mother is my best friend, so I loved how you leaned into what you'd like your daughter to find! As though she was walking the path with you and would continue on on her own should something happen. Thank you for sharing! I definitely want to do this VR now. I have seen others' videos, and they left me thinking... Hmmm, some of my choices for my "loot" is so different from what everyone is showing.... But after seeing yours I feel perfectly fine with that! 😊
    Also... New Subby here.

Thank you for sharing your loot drop. The spirit in which you answered this VR was so sweet and loving ❤️ I loved all your loot. What a great video. You have a new sub in me. I even went searching for the hollow valley tarot, but sadly it was out of stock.😢 my parents hail from the Ky, WV area and I have had a calling to learn more about appalachian folk witchcraft. And I have been looking for a few decks that would help me connect to my heritage, and my ancestors. I might need to binge watch your channel to see what other goodies you have shown. 😅

Oh yay! So glad to meet you! Yes, sadly, Hollow Valley is out of print, but to connect with Appalachian-ness, I highly recommend Mountain Dream Tarot by Bea Nettles and the Conjure Cards by Jake Richards, both of which are available. I love having Appalachian tarot buddies

@CommuningWithCards when I was growing up, we would go back to KY to visit grandparents and aunts and uncles, mom used to tease me that I would start talking with a twang before we could even get out of town...LOL...I loved going to the mountains where my grandparents lived up a "holler", up a one lane road that hugged the creek, exploring the mountain side behind my grandparents house, behind the family cemetery. Finding the old rope swing my mom used to play on. Wow, the memories are just flooding back. Sorry to get so sappy! Thanks for the recommendations. I've been eyeballing the Mountain Dream tarot for a while now. I'm not sure why I haven't pulled the trigger.
