This was where my love for black ladies began! I was about 13 when this came out and it was these and the likes of JODECI that changed me forever along with WU. I don't care what anyone says, 90s had some of the best black music we have ever seen after MOTOWN. So glad I got to see many of these groups live but for me, nothing beats my girl Lavonne Battle from Kut Klose or Maxine from Brownstone, God rest her soul !
With "5,4,3,2 Yo Time Is Up" I'm a life long fan of Jade. These three young ladies SMASHED ON IT with this video. When I bought their CD Jade To The Max that cover photo of them is ...beautiful. This song, Jade are the only ones that can do this right.
Swv, zhane, for real, pure soul, sudden change, xscape, voyceboxing, destiny's child, brownstone,en vogue, jade, tlc, allure,702,voices,three little woman, blaque, changing faces, black girls, good girls, eternal, salt n pepa, fabur, drama, sau dace, kut klose , total, gyrl, abstract, sista, mokenstef,... all of them very good
The lead is Dieyelle Reed aka Di, Joi Marshall is the other brown skin chic. Joi and Di do the bridge vocal together "It Won't Be Long Before Ya Gone, Aww Baby."
wow never heard of them! im only 18 and nowadays the music sucks balllls:D i love the 90S music,do you know some more tracks from jade which are nice?:)
I know that's very sad & cold blooded i've seen that video of Joi on that Ted video but that's how the music business was back in the day & still like that in 2020
Absolutely right, and I find it fascinating to learn about the structure of the entire record industry. It's truly cutthroat for an artist not immersed in the music business. Artists must "mind their business," meaning they should focus on maintaining and acquiring assets rather than liabilities.
@@GeorgeJansen so i did more research all 3 members did co-write some tracks on both albums. i am guessing they signed a 360 deal back then which meant the record label own the publishing...?

They recieved zero royalties from all their hits. Search Ted talk Joi 😢😢😢😢😢😢
I know that's very sad & cold blooded i've seen that video of Joi on that Ted video but that's how the music business was back in the day & still like that in 2020
if you are not a songwriter of "hits" or the record label, you ain't seeing a dime from royalties bruh
