I'm eternally grateful that the devs are who they are. the sheer number of meat cuts is very pleasing to see! I'm starting to worry that I won't have enough land for everything I'm thinking of doing now though.... might have to readjust "The Cavern" blueprints a bit to fit alchemist room.... maybe a basement is a good idea... to the drawing board! also, thanks as always for the great vids and plentiful info ^_^
Funny to see your 3 rotations around the sun dial for max luck. May i ask if it's ritual in your country, or a personal one ? In a forest next to where i live there is a 4000 years old menhir. Legend say gaulish herdsmen made 3 anticlockwise rotations invoking the gods around this menhir, to keep the wolves away. It was to share a little funny anecdote with you ! Thank you for your very informative video
I've always come up with silly luck rituals in game as it is fun and builds up suspense. That is actually really awesome that there are traditions around luck practice like this! Maybe we can get the devs to add a luck system like this in the future! 0_o Thanks for sharing!!
I really like the spell though, it refills 60 hp in 2 min, only at a small stamina cost, no item cost. I think it'll be very useful to have for PvE / travelling.
So imagine being a solo player. I Just unlocked the pottery kiln for the shingles and bricks after a week of grinding, still can’t craft chain mail due to the way flax and rough cloth are & by that I mean the cost and return of the material against the chance of failing and XP gained or not recieved on failed craftin attempts. I simply can’t get into any combat situations other than at most a herd of 3 boars and have to run and climb to safety to avoid death by wolves. Also, by any means necessary, I have to avoid any crazed church mongers or vigilante Crusaders in combat. The leveling cap needs to be reduced, so i can level up to even get involved in a combat situations. The crafting cost needs to be more balanced for the time that it takes to be crafted. I don’t really mind the time of crafting because I can go and explore and do other things while it does that Cost for the materials to craft the item that is taking 3040 minutes definitely needs to be reduced, especially after is a percentage of failing. Essentially the juice needs to be worth the squeeze. Don’t get me wrong. The game is visually stunning. Yet, there is no cahnce I would spend the amount of time required as a digital slave to a work station for others in a clan to benefit from that time I personally invested. At least in ARK asa the material harvestingand crafting and skill gainging is more balanced for people to solo and still try to be close to tribes which can be equally effecent while not having to dedicate a person from the tribe to a CRAFTER to where they can't enjoy other aspects of the game.
Eltari, I'd like to just say you do a good Job with your commentaries - however, As someone who loves crafting - everything about the crafting in Pax Dei honestly, - is pure cancer. The game is georgeous - though at this time - vastly empty - it looks empty - it feels empty - that inventory space is super limited made even WORSE by the SMALL stack size. Unless they overhaul their crafting system - I will not be purchasing this game. No matter how beautiful it is. This game needs a lot of work before it ever is going to be ready for early access. I hope they take the time to do it because the backbone of what could be a good MMO is there - let's hope they listen to the community and put the work in. I was in a clan of four people - and all I did was Gather, craft, gather , craft - It was painful - not fun. A solo player should NEVER even attempt to play this game.
You're not wrong lol. I play plenty of high paced games with buddies so I don't mind a bit of the slow, monotonous crafting grind. But they definitely need to optimize the system. Making a full inventory run for Large Animal Hides just to get me maybe a 5th of a leatherworking level is just torturous.
WOW! I am so excited - the crafting looks absolutely amazing. Good job, thank you for all you have put into these videos for us.
Can't wait to dig into all the crafting changes. So much to update in my notes :D
I will be immersed in crafting. Remind me to come up for air once in a while.
Okay!
Come up for air!!
Hahaha
Another great video Eltarii, cleared up a bunch of questions I had about crafting and, once again, left me even more excited to play Pax Dei!!!

@@eltarii interesting ! Pagan belief like this could indeed work with the religion system that the developers want to implement! I vote for it!
Thank you very much, the video clarified several things for me.

Yea! Any regen especially helps against debuffs like fire and poison too! Now if the spell gave stamina regen that would be amazing!!!
Hope they can polish the clipping on clothes, armor and weapons.
100% most of these are first pass assets so they'll get better I feel!
First 😆 You have the alpha 2 key 🙏

Is there a healing class / weapon / set in the game?
Can you block with the shield yet?
Yep! It even staggers enemies when you do!
@@eltarii oh thank god, one of the most annoying things from alpha 1 combat
Why wouldn't the shield show on your back?
Im a little confused. Alpha 2 just started Tuesday, how am I seeing the things Im seeing in this video?
The community I am a part of has some members in the Friends and Family testers, so we spent the last couple of weeks building up!
who are the devs of this game?
Mainframe! A new indie studio based out of Iceland, Finland and France among other European countries!
