it's only a shame i can't click the like button more than once, i really appreciate the review, it has helped me make up my mind about wanting to get one, i can only assume the extra padding on the back & the shoulder straps is because of the weight it is designed for, the other thing i like is the fact you can use just one side pouch if needed,
once again many thanks for taking the time to do the review
    have fun, be happy

    Hi totenvt,
thanks a lot for the video :)
I came on your channel over "ScoutingFree"s channel and so I saw your good reviews of british gear.
Gathered some outdoor-gear, for testing what's useful/suitable for me.
After buying U.S.-Gear and german BW-items (suspender, belt, various pouches, ALICE-Packs a.s.o) which are partly really good and handy stuff, I started with british army items, not least because of the DPM-pattern : ) (I like it more than the "normal" U.S.-woodland.)
I think, the british waist belt is a great thing with (for me) the best wearability when it's nearly full packed and also the option to put the rucksack-sidepouches with a Yoke as a daypack is awesome!!!
So I also got such a Radio Pack and an OtherArms Rucksack.
really great sturdy manufactured stuff !!!
Could you tell me, what should be packed on the front side of both Packs?
Just fixed a sidepouch on each , but on the Radio pack f.e. there fit only the two buckles on front downside and on the upper fronstide I must fix the sidepouch with the pouches buckles because ther are no claps on pack... (does it hold only on pouches buckles when ther is a bit of weight in the sidepouch?
or if I use the zippers then the front side of the pack will be a little contracted
(hope than you understand what I mean.. don't know how to decribe it in english)
On the other arms rucksack, there ist a similarly problem with the buckles on front side, but I write it in the comment of the other Video, otherwise here it will take still more place :)
maybe you can help me?! this would be really really kind
    regards
    Steffen

Really good pack and in the UK its a bit of steal at around the £20 mark you can pick them up for , once removed the extraneous internal straps are easily adapted to make a sternum strap or to secure a roll mat externally , the pouches to go with it are still cheap too .

I remember these "open like book" style radio packs from my army days Finland. They were horrible. No padding, no nothing. Nobody wanted to volunteer for the radio man course.
This british model from the 90's seems much better thought out with all the usefull details and good padding.
Having a bag likes this twenty years ago- who knows- I could now be one of the leading radio experts in my country :-)
