Thanks for the video - this bought back many happy memories of going to the beautiful paradise island at the beginning of last year - I sooooooooooooooo want to go back!
What a fantastic take off roll out of Heathrow and loved the "growl" of the engines!! And a glimpse of Paris...brilliant!! Food looked delicious and hope it tasted the same! I also love the on board commentary from the crew about what you can expect to see as you fly on either take off or landing ! I must have missed the reason for what appeared to be a go around?? i assume a fly over for the new aircraft hence the free plane wash etc...Fabulous review as always !!
Greetings from Mumbai. ..felt elated to see the aircraft being christened "Apravashi Ghat" which is Hindi for "Migrant Steps" commemorating the arrival of indentured labours from India during the 1800s.
Very nice vid. Air Mauritius A330neo is indeed very good aircraft. Would like to see new A330neos being deployed on India-Mauritius sector also. Btw, how you got the cockpit view ?
I wondered how comes such a tiny island can afford flying such amazing aircrafts & Running a high end airline- Unfortunate that they are under administration now
A small party of four 'older' people, we flew on a brand new AIR MAURITIUS A330-900-Neo to the French Indian Ocean island of LA REUNION for the first fortnight in MAY 2019. Although we were flying 'Cattle' Class, the crew and plane were wonderful. The seat camera - to enable you to see forward of, or below, the plane, was a real novelty. Who needs a window seat?! There were ample lavatories for this large plane; and we would recommend AIR MAURITIUS anytime! Excellent airline. And - if Brits can afford to go the extra half-hour - why not try LA REUNION? It is spectacular; with one of the World's biggest, and most active, and most accessible volcanoes (Piton de la Fournaise), and the extinct volcano (Piton des Neiges) is the highest mountain in the Indian Ocean, at 10,072 feet. The Reunionnais people often asked us why the British did not visit them. They want us there! Just be prepared to use your school French!
@Jung Bolosse I did understand about the plate tectonic movement over the hotspot, which was, once, beneath the Deccan Traps of India. I hope to return to this gorgeous, and exciting, island next year, too......if only I can persuade my 'volcano-bored' partner to join me! Reunion is very special. We can't go to Hawaii; but we can go to La Reunion.
@Jung Bolosse We went to La Reunion! Why bother with Mauritius, when you can fly for an extra half-hour and be in a glorious French Indian Ocean island, with the most glorious scenery, and the giant Piton de la Fournaise! It was because of 'Le Volcan' that we were there. Having visited all the Italian volcanoes (Stromboli is our favourite!) we have done Fuji, Aso and Sakurajima; and Fpournaise was next on my volcano bucket-list. You are correct: most British people have not even heard of La Reunion (or the Isle de Bourbon); and the fact that they would need to use French puts them off. I speak sufficient French to get us by. Many Reunionnais asked us why the British do not come to the island.
Why don't Airlines fly passengers on the inaugural flight? It is not going to interfere in any of their ceremonies. Why lose so much revenue of such long haul flights?
Boeings "kites" are better and Boeing dominates the wide body and the air freighters !!!! ! DUUUUHH!!!! And 737 is the most used and produced airliner ever !!!!
@Zac MORRISON You stupid Bastard !!! Boeing has been building planes for 102 years and scarebus for what 35 ??? With out Boeing scarebus has nothing to copy !!! Suggest you Google Airbus A320 and click on the Wikki site and drop down to the scarebus "accidents and incidents, read it and get back to me on that topic !!! Boeing with over 10,000 737's delivered over 50 years there will be crashes !! Just like with cars !!!! DUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Raamgolan airport in Mauritius is full of thieves! Beware with your luggage particularly if you are in transit or if you arrive from places like London or Paris! Air Mauritius staff are just okay, some are nice but many act like scumbags! I’d rather opt for another company or change plane elsewhere than going through Mauritius!
A poor video. It takes off in daylight, suddenly the view is a city at night, then within a few minutes we`re back into daylight !! No flight timings included, no information as to which business seat was occupied; no menus filmed; little idea what was on the plates in-flight and no explanation as to why masses of empty seats were shown. Two out of ten marks only for this one ! Must try harder !
I had often wondered what Air Mauritius were like, so thanks for a great video.
Great service on board
Thanks for the video - this bought back many happy memories of going to the beautiful paradise island at the beginning of last year - I sooooooooooooooo want to go back!
Hi Toria, I agree, I wish I can too!
That go around was insane
Recently flew Air Mauritius from Gatwick, great experience

Not a go-around. The captain announced that they would fly over the runway and approach it from the other direction.
@@fluffyfour that's not the normal procedure for that approach, to fly so low the whole length of the runway and then climb for the turn is very odd.
@@joxepojoxepin2752 I grant you that, which is probably why the captain announced what he would do, before he did it.
The most beautiful moment of airplane travel - The taking off!!!
Great video , like air Mauritius
Air Haiti!
dadalala NO,,. air Mauritius

Greetings from Mumbai. ..felt elated to see the aircraft being christened "Apravashi Ghat" which is Hindi for "Migrant Steps" commemorating the arrival of indentured labours from India during the 1800s.
Thanks, saw it after reading your comment.
We made Mauritius great.
Jai hind
Splendide vidéo !!!
Wow.beautiful video
Very good video
I love the a330 neo
Modern airplane.
I take it this was an inaugural flight, judging by the lack of passengers in economy and the water cannon on arrival?
And also the fly pass was part of the plan.
New plane
How many people on the flight?, it looks empty
that was not a revenue flight
It was the delivery flight... It did Toulouse Heathrow then Heathrow SSR
exact!
@@AD-jq7ow the name plaisance is more appealing than ssr
wonderfull trip report video
Sweet looking Aircraft. Better than the Boeing 787-10
Nice coverage
why the plane did not land at 11:20

The crew most likely invited him to the flight deck
C est quelle musique à 1m20 ? (le titre) pck elle passe plus dans air mauritius

1:09 c’est quoi qu’il y a sur les écrans ??
Love ❤😘 From India
The Airbus 330 neo and Airbus 350 will be OK if you will allow General Electric power these good Airbus jets
Yes but rolls Royce and Pratt and Whitney also make good engines.
Merci !
Jolie aéroport
wow the a330 don't make too much noise
That was Good View
Sounds like a Trent 1000 from a 787 during takeoff

@Jung Bolosse Wish we could have been there at this time! I'll check it out on their web-cams!

You work for Airbus?
Quelle musique a 1:23
Je ne sais pas :(
Why don't Airlines fly passengers on the inaugural flight? It is not going to interfere in any of their ceremonies. Why lose so much revenue of such long haul flights?
Lots of sensors on board.
Only engineers and other key personnel on board.
Voice subtitles better than nothing
Leadership's USP is the lack of any kind of commentary beyond the flight number at the beginning and the route added at the end.
