He squandered his prime, his main talent was his ridiculous speed for his size which combined with his fight IQ to make him, at one point, legitimately among the best technical heavyweighs who've ever lived. But now he's in his mid-30s, he's abused his body, he's drank his own Koolaid and has gotten lazy because of that, and he lacks the power and fortitude of a heavy hitter like Foreman that might have carried him past his prime - and on top of that Wilder broke his jaw (figuratively, if you follow me - you can only get the button hit so many times before your jaw goes) so it isn't even as though he can sit back and absorb damage like a tank and then put an opponent away in one well placed shot. He's fucked himself and his legacy: first by being too high on his own farts to take the discipline seriously, and then by not retiring when he should have. I've been a fan of this guy since the first Cunningham fight but with each year that goes by I dislike him more and more. He could have legit been the best in his game and gone down in history as such but he fucked it. Usyk is the most talented boxer active at the moment (if you actually follow boxing you know this without question) and his resume is so impressive he will very likely go down as one of the best in history; but when he was fighting Tyson I thought the size difference would just be too much. I wanted Usyk to win but I didn't believe he would (fucking CHISORA had him troubled when he moved up, for Christ's sake, you know?) but after Ngannou I started having doubts - but not so much that I wasn't worried for Usyk (I absolutely wanted Usyk to win because I just have more respect for him). The Fury that licked the Klit would have battered Usyk; even the Fury that schooled WILDER (who's a very tough man but a joke of a boxer, let's be clear about that) would have battered Usyk - and not necessarily because he's more skilled, let's be clear on that (Usyk's movement is and has always been UNREAL, not to mention his gas tank - it's just that Fury, at one point, at least, had both unnatural skill AND the size as to make him a nightmare opponent for someone like Usyk who's a natural middleweight) . But at some point between that first Wilder fight and the Usyk fight (I'd probably argue even the Whyte fight) Fury just isn't the same fighter anymore. His perception of himself is based on his past accolades but he can't back it up because he isn't the same man. The best thing for Fury honestly would be to just sign a contract with the WWE and enjoy being a showman - and one with a particularly impressive past. He won't, though, because the champion who's past it is often the last person to know they're past it. He can fight Usyk ten more times, he won't beat him. He isn't the guy he thinks he is anymore. Pulling stupid faces in the ring doesn't mean you are winning rounds when you are barely landing anything and the other guy is. They made him look insecure and unconfident if anything.

But you are belittling the amount of work that Fury AND Usyk did in the fight. It was a close fight. It could have easily gone either way and the statistics matches it. BUT, Usyk won it with the 9th round knockdown. No doubts about that. It definitely made it look like Usyk landed the better punches. Well Fury also did land a good couple of punches in round 6. 2 massive uppercut that wobbled Usyk and made him run. But Fury didn't capitalize on it and chase down Usyk like he chased down Wilder. Which gave Usyk time to recover. I actually already said after the Ngannou fight that if Fury doesn't get his head fully into the game, he isn't winning the Usyk fight. So here we are. The weirdest thing about Fury is that he actually does appear to believe what he is saying. Once he’s convinced himself that day is night & black is white, he reels it off to the camera without even blinking. The truth is, he got hit with more shots in that fight than he’s ever taken before, and the “fun” he’s talking about is the showboating he was doing for the judges’ benefit, to try to convince them that he was doing better than he was. But if this fantasy is what he needs to believe to maintain his confidence level for the rematch, that’s fine, we all want to see both fighters bring their “A-Game” again in December.

You called him Luke, you're such an edgy dude 😱
Pulling stupid faces in the ring doesn't mean you are winning rounds when you are barely landing anything and the other guy is. They made him look insecure and unconfident if anything.
Exactly!!
What are you on about kid. Go check the punches statistics before you spew the bullshit from your mouth.
Fury thrown punches 496 Usyk 407
Fury landed 157 Usyk 170
Fury landed 32% Usyk 42%
So saying Fury "barely" landing anything is an exaggerations because the statistics doesn't agree with you. Well, if you really want to call what Fury did as "barely", then Usyk isn't any more different. You should call Usyk "barely" landing anything too and that would be considered as worst because Usyk won it by "barely" landing anything on Fury. Usyk landed "barely" 13 more punches than Fury. Yes you might say, well he thrown 89 less punches than Fury. But Fury is a damn big of a man and Usyk only managed to "barely" land 13 more punches on Fury.
I am no Fury fanatic nor am I Usyk. Fury got into his retirement mood during the Ngannou fight and in the Usyk fight too and in a championship fight, you need a champion's mindset. anything less you are not winning it.
@@m.d.f3797 You are just coping, usyk not only landed more punches he also landed the more effective punches and the fact that the fight should have been stopped meant it shouldnt have even gone to a decision so in reality usyk won comfortably and fury was lucky the fight wasnt stopped. He may be a little deluded but history has shown us that this is a good mindset for him to have going into a rematch.
@@Good_Ebening_problem is usyk is levels over wilder and would improve too in a rematch
@@Good_Ebening_history has shown us that God chooses humble people over arrogant and deluded.
@@Good_Ebening_ Shhhh you're speaking facts and the Fury haters aren't going to like that...
@@Good_Ebening_ Usyk isn't Wilder.
It's Happy New Year, again
Get Paris there and John at home next time!
Surrounded by yes people he has been beat fair and square must have been a good punch he’s still got concussion
He lost because he had too much fun 😂. Omg, he beats even Wilders excuses! What the hell happened to this man 😮???
he was always full of shite, he was/is a good boxer and very slick for his size but he also has chatted utter crap since day 1
He's always been like this. Talks complete garbage all the time. His size, skills and heart have gotten him very far, but his BS is really coming to the surface nowadays.
Happy new year!!!
You have watch the fight many times and still think you won…there is the problem
“It was a lot easier than I thought it’d be…. HAPPY NEW YEAR”
Guy doesn’t even remember which round gave him the concussion
Fight with uysek, your better from uysek come on champ from Malta 🇲🇹 💪
Good advert for those drinks. They make you talk bollox
Holy fuck this was hilarious, the last minute is just pure David Brent 😂
Adopted the wilder mentality 😂
chicken thinking!
Fury you did win, but in chicken dance!!!
Kind of “chicken king”! 😂
living proof ‘money can’t buy class’.
I hope Usyk & his team watch this and either ‘surrender all the belts but one’ or withdraw from the fight altogether. Either way, Fury doesn’t deserve another crack at the undisputed title. His pathetic resumé didn’t even warrant one opportunity, never mind two
Broken jaw and broken eye socket? This man a joke
“I’m talking shite” … Never a truer sentence said Tyson 👏
Happy New Year Tyson!
