This whole album took me back to being a kid again and I loved every second of it. I spent so much time on Encarta Encyclopedia and other educational programs/games just like it growing up and the music is reminiscent of that in the best of ways. Thanks for making this.
September 4, 1999. You just got home from school, you turn on Windows 98, you are about to drop the sickest homework tomorrow after spending hours wandering the maddest PC Encyclopedia ever.
The music, track names, and visuals perfectly recreate the memory of that interactive CD-ROM encyclopedia I never owned around 1997. I think it came bundled with the MMX Pentium 166MHz PC with a 15-inch CRT display. Nostalgic.
Public television beats back fresher than I remember. Huge thanks for making this, trndytrndy. Glad to always see other artist and what their takes on past music will be like. Also this reminds me of replaying the same box collection over and over (not just 2008 era wise).
Wait this is literally the music of childhood in the 2000s and the plethora of history, nature, science, adventure, and geographic documentaries and books we all watched and read
i often listen to your music on long drives and i just came back to listen again. And I just noticed. what the hell do you mean you only have 600 subs, that is literally criminal. This music is absolutely heat. Looks like I gotta do my duty and advertise you to friends as much as I can.
Oh ok so this is just a fucking masterpiece of an album and each song contains samples and themes present in net geo and other educational entertainment of that vein from the early 2000s. Every song is named over different types of documentaries and media, and it all comes to "your notebook".
Really flavourful. 'Information Superhighway' reminds me of Mr. Bill's tracks, if he made 1980s-style music. 'Your Notebook' is a really nice ending track.
if this genre doesn't have a name i suggest ossynth as a play on dungeonsynth (both are modern genres built around emulating a specific style of music that wasn't considered very noteworthy when it was around)
This incredibly frutiger! Fruti fantastic!! BEAUTIFUL AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT❤❤❤ it reminded me when I was a child and used encarta. Keep doing great music, Imma new suscriber!! Also Im here because twist lol
i feel like im back in elementary school about to watch a documentary on a roll out tv
Utopian scholastic is such a cool genre, this is great
like boards of canada but for 90s cd-rom encyclopedias instead of 70s nature documentaries and sesame street
something like that anyway
that's a great way of summing it up
i feel like i've been educated and the world around me suddenly makes more sense
thank you trndytrndy really cool project

This album is such a beautiful love letter to the 90s aesthetics of Utopian Scholastic!
Utopian Scholastics ! So that’s what it was called ! The world , history, anatomy, biology, geography were so fun! This brings me right back.
I used to be able to name dozens of dinosaur species. Growing up in the 2000s was awesome
Optimal music. My compliments
