  • This is a very rare find indeed. My wife and daughter spotted this Crafter acoustic guitar in the window of the local charity shop and decided to investigate and then quickly bought it because they thought I might find it interesting.
    #crafterguitars #acousticguitar #rareguitar
What they had found was this very rare Crafter guitars Model SGA-008/n.
How do I know it is rare you may ask?
Try looking for one online. You will not find this model for sale anywhere?
Except for just one example which is spread over several websites including eBay and a few auction sites which has now been withdrawn from sale?
It's over 20 years old and is in amazing condition so I decided to give it a clean up and oil the fretboard with some boiled linseed oil and slap a fresh set of D'Addario strings on it.
It cleaned up a treat and sounds great.

If any of you good folks can find another example of this model SGA-008/N of Crafter guitars online let me know.
I'll be impressed with your sleuthing skills. 😎👍
Apart from the single one that I found on an auction site online (since withdrawn from sale) this is the only version of this model on RUclips. Astonished! 😂🎶🎸👍 #rare 😂👌

@@MariekeSleurink You could drop it on Twitter or make a video showcasing it. It's a pretty rare guitar and would be interesting to see and hear it. What gauge strings have you got on it? 🎼🎶👍

Hi Jo, it's a great guitar and it's in excellent condition for it's age. It was obviously very much loved by the previous owner.
Crafter guitars are known for their looks almost as much as their tone. 🎶🎸👍🏼

Just got gifted one by a friend who had one gathering dust. a few nicks and dents and a couple of worn frets, but still pretty nice.

That's a great gift to get. The frets are easy to tidy up. Nicks and dents we call character. 🎶🎸😂👍🏼

That's a great acoustic guitar Michael and a rare find indeed. Very well maintained for a 20+ year old guitar. And looks like you didn't have to do too much of work to get it working. BTW, that's a neat idea to string the guitar. The most important thing is that you gave it your special touch and I'm sure it's something that your granddaughter will cherish! 😍🎸

Yep it's a beauty and just needed a little TLC.
I'm surprised at how rare this model seems to be. I can't find another one online?
I've always used this guitar string tying technique.
It's called the factory method probably because
      It's fast and dependable.
      Not fiddley diddley 🎸😂👍

You NEVER use coarse sandpaper to clean a fretboard or frets!

Wet and dry paper isn't sand paper. It's carborundum based very fine grade grit paper that I mentioned in the video. It is often used on wooden surfaces including fretboard cleaning.
Hope this helps you distinguish between the two different products.
