    I found both guitars sound good. Both chimey, if you like that kind of tone. There were times where i just thought the Crafter sounded warmer. Cannot honestly say there was enough of a tonal difference to warrant a price difference. In the end it seems it’s going to come down to personal taste. Impressive guitar that Crafer I must admit. Thanks for the video Ed.

    I like both, the both have a sound that I like. But here in my country, the Taylor = Crafter TC-035 + C6N + SEG450. The Crafter package looks tempting for the money.

    I see a lot of people saying Crafter is better, but aren't those people biased because of the price? Trying to favour one brand just because its less expensive doesn't erase the fact that a much more expensive one would be probably better. Comparing both I can obviously hear that Taylor is warmer, has more presence and sustain even. Or maybe my ears are too rookie to get the comparisions you're making, even though I'm using very good earphones to better hear the sounds

    The taylor definitely has a better balanced full range tone. Fantastic lows that are defined and shimmering highs. That is what you are paying for too. There are many cheap accoustics out there but they all lack the full range tone you get from a martin or taylor.
    One of the best values ive seen are breedlove accoustics of which i own because I auditioned side by side with a 1500-2000$ taylor and it matched it but at 500-700 less retail.

It was like new as she hadn’t played it much and sounded better than my Gibson J100 xtra. The neck was straight as a die even though there is no adjustment tensioner fitted. The built in Crafter amplifier pickup is very effective.

    That mic is not good enough quality to do a comparison. If you are basing your choice on this representation, you are not hearing how the guitars truly sound. Go to a store and play these guitars. I think you will be surprised at the difference between the video sound and real life.

      Yeah, it is better to audition the guitar in person.

    At twice the price the Taylor is not worth the difference, the tonal difference being marginal.

    Crafter has a solid rosewood back and sides and taylor has laminated back and sides thats why crafter had a better sounds.

    • @Edwin-E
      @Edwin-E  4 года назад +1

      For this Crafter model, based on specs, it is laminated back and sides, same as Taylor 214ce.
