Love this sixties thing! Clean, Clear n Beautiful! Wish we had another chance, n could go back there! Our nation is hurting!
My wife and I bailed out within 20 minutes.
Great comedy talent wasted on a limp script.
Anything he does, has elements of comic genius in it! The cast alone, makes it worth it! It is a Pop Tart Movie! Just sit back and enjoy!
It was entertaining but I wouldn't have paid theater prices to see it
Good show worth watching..
I would love to have liked it, but it straight up sucked ass.
Love Seinfeld, but this is unwatchable. Seriously, just awful, not a laugh, just corny over acting.
I gave up, watching this garbage, in under 30 minutes.
If it was not Jerry Seinfeld… they would have shred the director for making this expensive hit and miss movie. I liked the movie as an extended SNL like sketch.
A ridiculous-on-purpose retelling of the story of the creation of Pop Tarts. No massive hilarity, but a steady stream of chuckle-inducing moments that kept us glued. Every significant character delivered. The choice of Jim Gaffigan as a main character was clever, a joke in itself, as with some tweaks, this could just as easily have been a story about Hot Pockets.
Everyone lighten up. Jerry is a rare celebrity who knew he’d never top his Seinfeld sitcom success in the 90s so he walked away as a king and has been an elder statesman of comedy ever since.
He could have cashed in on a hundred forgettable movies like this in the 90s but didn’t because he focused on quality. He returned to his standup and his shows are a blast if you’ve ever been to one.
So indulge the guy on very occasional projects on topics that he loves. Did Bee Movie stink? Yes but he was a new dad at the time so it was like his super expensive way of impressing his kids by making himself a cartoon.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is fun as a documentary where he interviews comics on how they got started.
And this? If you followed Seinfeld show or his act, you know the man is obsessed absolutely crazy about breakfast cereal as well as funny toys and what his life was like growing up as a kid in the 60s.
Would I have paid to see it in the theater? Yes because I like Jerry but I understand why most wouldn’t. But that’s why it’s on Netflix.
And remember. Jerry’s comedy was never about educating you, taking a political stand or making you a better person. It was just about being silly and making you laugh, no matter who you are. This divided country doesn’t get his humor unfortunately.
It was silly but funny. Loved the nostalgia. Tom Carvel- Schwinn- -Jack LaLane. Hysterical
It's a bad idea for a movie and what happens when a billionaire wildly successful comedian surrounded by yes men and women thinks everything he says is golden. If 100 critics say the movie stinks it probably stinks. Richard Roeper is a good critic and fair and he didn't like it.
Critics are quite often completely out of touch with the average viewer. Furthermore probably a good number of them were voting with their butt-hurt leftist feelings because they felt attacked by what is undeniably the truth
saw it yesterday,, i really enjoyed it.. the thing is if you were brought up in the 60s and 70s you get the references
