Squire are playing The Brook, Southampton, in April this year as guests of Secret Affair (Glory Boys anniversary tour). Even though I was a fan at school (Mods Mayday's B -A-B-Y Baby Love a big fave!) I never saw them live. I'll certainly be at The Brook though. Not sure if any Sugarplum will be in the set,but I hope so! I got Get Smart! new,as a sixteen year old mod kid and loved it; I'm now a 51year old ageing Mod geezer and the Sugarplum album is in my All-time Top 10. Anthony Meynell is surely our most underrated singer/songwriter.
Anthony Meynell is a god. I met him a few times in 82-86 in and around Carnaby street i used to get his records from the Rocker Fellar centre on carnaby street of a chinese guy called jimmi. Boots now stands on the site

I'll be there next month to see Squire at The Cavern. It will be the first time I've seen the band since the Mods Mayday '99 gig. I can't wait!
