  • My 1953 HO scale Pennsylvania Railroad Broadway Limited on the Orlando Society of Model Railroaders layout. This all Pullman (sleeping car) train was one of the premier trains in the US and ran an overnight schedule between New York and Chicago.
The silver Santa Fe car is a transcontinental sleeper. During the 40s and 50s, it was possible to travel coast to coast in the same sleeping car. This car was carried between Los Angeles and Chicago by Santa Fe's Super Chief, and then New York and Chicago on the Broadway Limited. Other sleeping cars from the Super Chief would go to New York on the New York Central's 20th Century Limited and Washington DC on Baltimore & Ohio's Capitol Limited.
The 3 locomotives (2 EMD E8A's and a E7B) and most of the passenger cars are ‪@WalthersModelTrains‬ (with a couple brass cars thrown in). The locomotives all have ‪@SoundtraxxDCC‬ Tsunami 2 sound, with the 2 E8s having ‪@Musepro7‬ Scale Sound Systems speakers and the B having a custom Tang Band.
Apologies for the squealing in the background. Someone else was running some cars that needed lubrication at the time.
