I had an older brass model of this engine. It couldn't navigate the broad radius curves of a club layout, let alone the tighter ones on my home layout, so I regrettably sold it rather than have sit on my shelf. Hearing that BLI has cleverly resolved the smaller curve radius dilemma, I'm most definitely interested in getting what appears to be a more detailed version at an astonishing price, even with sound! Great news!
YES!! I ordered one! Very nice model 😀😀. I already got 2 x T1 4-4-4-4 (with and without the 3 portholes), a Q2 4-4-6-4 and 2 x the S2 Turbine (1 without the smokedeflectors and 1 with the large ones). Great models, and now tbe "big engine" S1. I hope that BLI will produce the "missing" Duplex Q1 4-6-4-4.
I'm glad they are supplying those no.2 & 3 axle wheel sets with flanges so that they can be swapped in to the place of the blind (flangeless) drivers that come with the model. I'm looking forward to putting them in and trying this loco on my 36" radius curves.

I really hope they do a deskirted version one day
Welp. Looks like I’m getting into HO railroading. Looking forward to this
Now can they make the M1 Turbine as a hybrid and not $5000
Now we just need a Southern Pacific Sunbeam in HO.

Stunning!
Got to have one!
Impressive 😊 !
Nice loco. I hope to see some NW class A or Y6B again soon. Especially the preserved versions
Already ordered mine 👌👌
There seems to be a "diaphragm" between the engine and tender. How will THAT allow for curves? Of course, it wouldn't look as accurate without it...🤔
They better re release these locomotives
Wow looks good got the q2 now this way to go👍
My bank account is begging for mercy rn😭
WANT!
When will the N scale version come? 😂 you have to do one!
i preordered 2 lol
this will sell out
If you want to run this on 18 inch radius curves, you need to find another hobby.
