Hey Adam, as usual great video. Only just getting around to doing this. One at a time LOL. What car ramps are you using. Can only find ramps that fit 250mm wide tyres. Noticed you’re rocking 285’s cheers again.
Hey Adam, I'm gonna fit the bash plates soon , when you say regular tight not maniac tight can I red lock tight all the bolts for piece of mind so I don't have too recheck them in future ?
Another great video mate. Ordered an LSM a few months ago. Still got quite the wait time on it but in the mean time I got your content to keep me entertained. Just subbed to the patreon as well so can’t wait to see what else there is in the future. Ps. Out of all the mods you’ve done or are wanting to do, what’s your recommendation for the first one someone should do? Cheers
Hmmmmm, prob the catch can, phone mount or tub central locking. Catch can for keeping things clean straight out of the box, then those other two are just simple mods to make it more livable (phone mount is prob a personal preference)
Another mod Adam? Man you are costing me a fortune. Its a money pit lol. With your ARB recovery points, you only have one on the front? that all we really need? Cheers
😁 Yeah just the passenger at the moment, wanted to wait till got plates and bar on to see clearance, you could prob be fine with one, I'm prob going to grab the driver's side as well though
Hey Adam I am looking at purchasing a 2021 Dmax x terrain and have been watching a fair few of your videos (Great content). What is you thoughts on the Aluminium tailshaft?
Hey mate, it's stronger than the previous generation and lighter too which is a plus, survived 7000km to cape York and the old tele track A ok if that counts for anything :)
Hi Adam, do you feel these plates reduces your ground clearance at all at any given section? Also, how come your left/passenger side factory tow point (black loop) is missing?
No reduced clearance, if anything it helps flatten out the underneath which is good for off-road. There's no tow point missing? It's factory like that. Have since added a pair of ARB recovery points
I've been wondering how practical it is to do an oil change without removing the plate. I'm thinking I'm not going to risk the mess and just take the plate off anyway. After running the 3mm set for... two trips! I would recommend having a 4mm plate for the very front because it does cop a beating and mine is already a bit warped.
Hey Adam when you installed the ARB Recovery hitch, did you have to cut anything. I’m buy all these parts tomorrow hopefully I ordered the 3 mm plates, but after seeing your vid, I might change to 4mm.
Hey mate, no cutting, you need to slightly on the factory plate but if you're installing the @Custom Offroad Base Plates ones you're fine. Just check with them on getting the right style front plate for your bar etc (there's two different types)
Quality bit of gear these. Did you not get a stack of washers for the rear most bolts? Mine had extra washes for each side to go under the nut that’s welded into the plate?
@@VideoShowMeHow strange! I had a seperate pack with just the rear nut plates, 2 bolts and a stack of washes saying “3 washers per side” so assumed the went in and spaced the nut plate Uo so it sat flat? Weird
Hi mate , quick question With use of your bash plates have you had any creaking noises due to bash plate being steel to steel of the chassis Steel to steel contact ? And fine grit getting between ?
Hey mate, love the videos! I just put an order in on an LS-U. Definitely got some great ideas from you already which will be happening when we take delivery. A general question about warranty that I’ve thought of after watching a few videos. If you don’t mind me asking, do you have any concerns with your installs of non-genuine snorkel and catch can ? My dealer seemed pretty hesitant for these things to be done because of the risk to voiding warranty? Where do you stand on this stuff? Leading up to purchase they were two essential items for me, now I’m hesitant. Appreciate your thoughts.
Nope, no concerns whatsoever. Reason being they are quality parts and I trust their function. Warranty can only ever be potentially voided if your mods directly cause the factory failure. It's the same with all manufactures really, they make good bucks in aftermarket, so of course want you to buy from them (so does the salesman at the dealership who gets commision pay cheques). I find it plain dishonest when dealers (some! Not all are like this) say on the one hand if you purchase this car from us and install an aftermarket bullbar warranty void yet they're happily sell you one of their 'factory' bars which are almost always rebadged aftermarket anyway? Anyway, lots of stuff on this out there, quick google and you'll fall down the rabbit hole. In my unbiased opinion, I'd recommend always doing your own research, use quality parts, and enjoy YOUR purchase 😊
Hi Adam, thanks for all the videos, I noticed you only have one rated recovery point. Any reason for that? I have purchased the drivers side from ARB but they didn’t have the LHS in stock and have back ordered. ARB say it is better to have both! What are your thoughts on this. Cheers Jeff
Only really need the one, ideally on big recoveries 2x is better using a bridle to spread the load. Have an install out soon with 2x of a different brand

You sold me with the bottle opener
🍺😆
Built in bottle opener 😂 😂 😂 Love it!
So timely. Just ordered a set of these for my BT50
They're good gear mate, put em through the ringer at glasshouse mountains today, went great!
Thanks for confirming the ARB recovery points fit with these. Looks like this might be my next purchase for my DMax 😁
Another great video
Make sure you specify what type of bull bar you have before you audio custom off-road bash plates so they can get the right fitment
Another great video mate! Will be ordering a set of these very soon!
Another great easy to follow video. Cheers
great video Adam thank, yes agreed best feeling pulling of the outer protective plastic, unless someone else does it then watch out :)
Haha
Another great video mate 🍻
Thanks for the vid. It looks so good btw. Love it. Keep up the awesome job brother.
Awesome as always mate.
Thanks you Jesus

How good! Makes me wanna crack a beer ;)

I'd prob use blue if anything. I haven't used anything on mine and haven't had an issue so far

Hi mate , quick question
With use of your bash plates have you had any creaking noises due to bash plate being steel to steel of the chassis
Steel to steel contact ? And fine grit getting between ?
No haven't had any issues to date. The chassis in these are stiff as anything so shouldn't be expecting any sort of movement
Any chance you through them on a scale to compare the weight of what came off and what went on?
No I didn't sorry mate, at a guesstimate total of the old plates is prob around 6-8kg, these replacements being the 4mm 3 plate are 35kg
Did you remove the factory recovery point on the passenger side to install the red ARB recovery point?
there's a factory recovery point? The tie down point?

Should have watched your video first. Custom Offroad told me to start from front to back! Makes it a much more difficult operation.
That would work too, I just wanted to tackle the big one first, figured it was then all downhill from there 😁
Hi Adam, do you have the model or part number for that ARB recovery point please?
No I don't but there's just the one type from ARB for the DMAX
Do they fit is you have the munji diff drop?
Hey mate, unsure as I don't have one, shoot them an email I'm sure they will be able to help
What do these weigh in total?
25 kg for the three piece 3 mm stainless steel plates
Loving the vids Adam 👌🏽 just wondering what tyre brand you're running and how have you found them on the tracks?

@@VideoShowMeHow I forgot to ask, you running a lift? If not, did you have to do any trimming and is there any tyre rubbing?
No lift yet, no scrubbing 👍

Just a question would these also fit the 2021 single cab dmax ?
Check out the website, I think there's one to suit
