    What’s the cure time on the ceramic coating you used? You mentioned possibly letting the customer leave with it after you were done?

    Questions: what did u use ( product wise) on the vinyl matte strips before ceramic coating to insure it didn’t have defects and was clean from any polishing oils?

    So you use iron remover as lubricant for the claying stage ? Or do you spray other Devon the rinse it off before starting the clay bar treatment? Was kinda hard to tell from the video clips

    • @bsm1th99
      @bsm1th99 Год назад

      I also noticed that. I personally would have used a clay lubricant with the clay mit after the iron remover

    • @treverbickmore476
      @treverbickmore476 Год назад

      Aaron remover first rinse off then Clay

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  Год назад +2

      That's the problem when I try to cut down 50 minutes of shooting into 12 minutes of content. It doesn't really show the exact minute-by-minute process. We first use an iron remover, allow to dwell, rinse it off, and then go into the clay treatment using a clay lube

    • @thegeorgemoreno
      @thegeorgemoreno Год назад

      What clay mitt is that link if possible

      You can clay mit with optimums ferrex product. It has lubricating properties. Cuts down on time.

    Came out great, I had a similar job not too long ago. One step polish, 5 year coating and windows and wheel faces coated on a 2022 Maserati Ghibli with under 1000 miles. Easiest $1500 I’ve ever made lol

    • @bsm1th99
      @bsm1th99 Год назад

    • @butskiiueepp1625
      @butskiiueepp1625 Год назад

      @@bsm1th99 a ceramic coating job that’s done correctly, takes anywhere between 20-30 working hours to complete. Obviously depending on experience and condition of vehicle.
      There’s a guy in my area who does 3-4 hour ceramic coating jobs lmao. I called him out on it for being a fraud. But ppl really do pay him lol. He charges $90 for it lmao.

    Using clay mitt before you rinse off the iron remover seems like a bad idea, just rubbing around all those lose contaminants, maybe I'm wrong just an observation.

    You should NEVER wash/clean the engine with pure water. Eventually it will get rusted and corroded. Compressed hot air my guys.. you will damage vehicles that way.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  Год назад +2

      Good point. How would we know if it has gotten rusted and corroded? We've been doing it this method for years on dozens and dozens and dozens of vehicles. Curios on your thoughts

      As we were polishing, the backing plate separated from the polisher from the heat. The backing plate skid on the front bumper, leaving a small scratch.

    Dodge paint is the worst so thin and thick at the same time. Too much cut and it creates haze smh
