putting core magnets on the tengyun is actually genius, considering how the cube was unpopular for being a bit unstable.
Yeah, I LOVE the TengYun V1 but I just cannot consistently get good times with it, which is so disappointing. So I’m really glad someone made this and I look forward to trying it out myself when it’s back in stock!

Just installed my Tornado v2 magnet kit, was able to install the core without trimming off the clips. Was a bit difficult, but I had a pick and tweezers to carefully place the pieces together. Looks awesome! Can't wait for the glue to dry.

I really liked the YuLong V2, that is generally the 3x3 I bring around with me in my bag for travel.
My core exploded during early 2020 LMAO I don't remember much, but it was my first speedcube
The RS3M kits are so good, first speed(ish) cube I got and now that I’m really good at speed cubing I thought I could give my original cube a new upgrade so well very good 👍

Do you really need to remove 4 centers? I think you only need to remove the two that goes through the core parts. Or am I missing something?

I think if the corner magnet components were made from something with a softer material that could flex a little to get more surface contact with the corner stock it's being glued to, that'd be a bit better.

Gan 12 is one of the best, and if you think that the catching is a problem, people say it goes away after setup and break in.
@@Seweyy23 the gan 12 doesn't actually have a catching issue anymore. Gan said this a couple months ago. And ya I have one, and it doesn't have the huge catching problem
The thing that was causing the catching was that there was a hole in the edge (idk why Gan decided to put a useless hole that made the cube worse)
Did they remove the hole?
@@Seweyy23 np hole is still there. The hole is just meant to help reduce weight. Bur even tho they didn't remove it, it doesn't catch anymore. A bunch of ppl on reddit Said that, so I went ahead and bought one. And they were right. So idk what gan did, but they fixed it
I got one for my RS3M... It was easy to setup and works fine
Edit: I'll also add that I put two sets of magnet kits in to strengthen the edge-corner magnets on both sides and it feels more like the strength of a tornado v2 at full strength magnet setting so it's nice having a similar feeling cube with maglev (as I have a CH V2) while waiting for my maglev+ core magnets V3 since I prefer the smaller size of the tornado

I totally recognize the messed up magnets. I magnetized a cheap QiYi cube and got the polarities wrong. It's insane.

I tried GAN 11M Duo and I was really unhappy with magnet core because it takes a lot of force to turn it, so I gave up using it after 3 weeks and gonna sell. I think this feature is poorly tested and really need some balance, let's say if they put really weak magnets in the center PLUS adjustable magnets in the corners that should be on the weaker side by default anyway. Just wonder about some good magnetic core cube to be released. I would try GAN 12 but I'm just scared it wouldn't fit at all because of that bad experience with 11, I thought non-adjustable cubes must be at least ok out of the box but actually it was a disaster.

The rs3m 2021 has the exact same shape and build as the 2020, just with maglev instead of springs. The ch core works the same for the 2020 and 2021, so I believe that this can be used on the 2021. Just speculation tho, hope this helps!

It probs will be cuz the tornado v2 was pretty cheap and I hope it doesn't have maglev cuz it's kinda bad it just makes the cubes way too fast in my opinion and the corner cutting is way worse.

No that’s a V1 which has visible/exposed magnets. It’s just not adjustable on the v1 like it is on the v2

You can get a Tornado V3 (non maglev) for 32.99USD. If your willing to go a little bit out of your budget you can get a Tornado V3 Maglev version for 39.99.

@@sadman4374 yeah. tornado V3 is probably the best cube in the 20-40 dollar range. if your looking at sub 20 dollars I would go for an RS3M.

So far haven't seen anyone else make Aochuang WR, Aosu WR and Shadow v2 kits. I technically have a file for the Aosu WR kit* but the setup afterwards was quite convoluted such that I wouldn't trust people to install them into the cube. If I had an audience, I would rather sell the modded cube rather than the kit alone.
*deleted my Shadow file to save space, and never made an Aochuang one because core-magged it with epoxy long before I got my 3D printer.
