Love the tank set up! I met Joey your husband at the pet show in Toronto yesterday and got to meet him, take a picture and get his autographed picture. I was so nervous and it felt like I was meeting a movie star, lol. He is very handsome, funny and friendly. I enjoyed watching his scape off. I didn't see you there and would of said hello.
Thank you!! Aww - that is so nice, I’m happy to hear that! 😊 I had to stay home and “hold down the fort” this trip, but it looked like a whole lot of fun! Maybe next year I’ll be able to make it!
You did a great job, with time it will age well. I love that you’re into the natural/planted tanks like myself. They just look better imo. A little tip for you T…next time you’re using dried leaves pop them in a jug and add boiling water over them, let them sit for a bit, take them out, add them to your tank and they’ll sink better. Also, you can tear some pieces up to make it look more natural. Plus, You can also collect and use dead leaves and twigs from your yard. My fish and shrimp love them, especially if I let them sit in water outside for a while first, lots of biofilm for them to go to town on. 😊
I setup a small tank with Minnows and will take my first foray into Shrimp ownership soon. The mulm made me think 4 days later. Paint the cords white nobody will ever know. P.S. You are funny in a cute way!
nice shrimps .... ok , my tips ... dont change anything in the tank for at least 3 months ... only top off the water ... if needing put new leaves in it ... catapaleave`s are good as food and for the biofilm ( food shrimplets) ... and dont feed to mutch ... and patience ...😉
it's german for "freshwater seaweed". There are actually 2 different plants commonly referred to as that, one is a liverwort, one is a fern. I think yours might be the liverwort variety Lomariopsis lineata
Yes it is subwassertang,I have heaps of it in my shrimp tank. With the bonsai tree I would move it forward a bit and move across a bit towards the wood so then it has the centre of attention

Looks good to me!😊
Thank you! 😊
always gotta give the tank time, it should look nice once all of the plants grow in!
Most definitely! 💯
Think it will look really nice when the plants. grow and cover more
Thanks 🙏
A dark substrate will get a bolder color for your shrimp as they may wash out being on a lighter one. They tend to blend into their surroundings.
I’ve found their colouration to be really good so far… but thanks for the tip!
EPIC VIDEO
Thanks 🎉
🎉
It will be very nice looking tank after moss start to taking over . 🙂

oh and don't feed protein too often because you don't want the mothers with eggs to shed too quickly... (at least this is my experience) 🤪
that plant on the log is called Susswassertang
T do the first two tanks have the same Moss. The second tank looks like a different moss, almost looks like Spiky Moss?
That moss-like plant you don't know the name of looks like Susswassertang to me.
Oh cool, thanks!😎
You're welcome!

Hi T
Hey!
He's going to get mad at me for this but I think you're a better decorator than he is. Especially when it comes to fish tanks
I’m not sure I’m better, I just think we each have our own style😁
It was a shame to see you poor all that fertilizer gold down the drain. Next time use it to water plants
Oops! Sorry!! I was just trying to work quickly… and I don’t have any plants inside, unfortunately
It’s going to last, 😅.
