- On this episode of 10th Scale Garage I build the Viewer requested RC Crawler. This super scale looking Jeep is built on the Injora chassis and uses a few Axial parts, some cheap bead lock wheels, and a Spektrum radio system but was built on the cheap. We took the DIY Patina paint job body and built the ultimate budget scale RC Crawler that YOU requested.

Only thing I took away from this video is... Lily don't give AF. 😂 That body def looks a lot better than the chassis performed. Can't wait for the upgrades.

Love the new truck I'm Just building a 6x6 on one of these chassis I had to change the gearbox for a cheep counter rotating one with dual motor plate to get the rear wheels turning in the correct direction and a couple set of cantilever rear suspension kits . Wheels are from ftx texan and tyres are tiger dog (used these coz I thought the name was cool) and ftx texan body all cheep parts but I have splashed out on a hobbywing 880esc just hope the drive shaft can handle twin 35 turn motors
Cool RC,go for the brushless upgrade
Yeah, I’d love to put a brushless motor in it, but I’m worried the driveline won’t handle it. The thing seems to be made of glass.

I’ve actually considered doing that. I’m not sure what platform to use. Have you seen the hellspawn? That thing is crazy fast.
@@10thScaleGarage Or, alternatively you can turn a XO-1 into a crawler with the stock motor and esc. (probably with a different chassis though)

Adjust the shocks or replace them and make it as capable as possible for under $100. Budget upgrades are the best!!

I’m not a huge jeep fan either, but I had this body for almost 3 years and was just waiting for the perfect project for it. When the community said they wanted to see a crawler body get painted- I knew it was time for it to come out of storage.

Great vid again! Chassis looks like a SCX10.2 type. If that is the case your IFS hopes aren't dashed. With some retro fitting pretty sure the Element RC IFS kit will fit on this. May need a little modding but it is compatible with SCX10.2 design type chassis.
Yeah. It’s basically a clone. I’m still looking into the IFS kit, but it seems like most people aren’t as interested in it as I am, and this is a community build rig. It’s definitely going to happen in the future though.
build it to a point where it's a badass crawler first. see how much it takes to make it awesome.

The receiver is in a waterproof box, and the ESC is waterproof.
