Greenstein's music is a wonderful amalgamation of styles: minimalism is very obvious, but one can sort of hear classic rock, jazz, maybe other Americana. What a beautiful little string section around 6:00.
I loved hearing this when it aired. Thank you for posting it! So wonderful, beautiful, engaging! One is forced to dance around! Thanks for helping us discover this composer!
Fantastic! I just heard this group live with Jose Gonzalez at the Disney Concert Hall. Such a breath of fresh air. Extremely talented and sensitive musicians. Looking forward to seeing/hearing more of them!
Loved the sad, mournful trumpet over the frantic strings and flute. Just heard this, my first Greenstein on the Public radio program "performance tiday."
As I listened to this piece I tried to become more intelligent so that I could more fully appreciate it. In the end I couldn't reach that level so I brought it down to my level and enjoyed its brilliance.
You're at a dinner party. Any sort. A wealthy Austrian's banquet or a Midwestern get-together that somehow ended up in the kitchen. Full and content. Or content with being full. Worries and ticks are locked out. Tick. Tik. Tiik. Tikc. Tick.
It is heartening to see that young people still care about live performance of complex art music. Expertly executed.
Ain't it the truth! More of this stuff should make to FM radio. I think RUclips is the new FM.
I do enjoy this piece of indie classical music, it traps the listener in an ambiance, as in a flying dance. I do enjoy listening to it.

How could anyone dislike this music? Uplifting, life affirming, open form, balanced, ingenious.
I can't stop coming back to this!

Gorgeous. I'm so happy that NPR featured this group on "Performance Today."
Absolutely stunning! A true marvel of 21st-century classical music!
The shivers dont seem to ever stop.
Marvelous Music, excellent honest performance. My hats off to CJ, playing trumpet in this ensemble would be a challenge to anyone.

I just wanna know what time signatures!!! This is such an excellent piece and have been listening to it for years. Reminds me of Secret of Mana.
It alternates between 4/4 and 7/8 in the beginning.
Hermoso!

Very Nice

Very nice. Reminiscent of some Glass and Reich, but the rhythmic ideas and limited use of persistent rhythmic phrases is welcome.
Nice flutter tonguing, CJ!
Can someone tell me the time signature? Beautiful song by the way.
the time signature is mostly 4/4 + 7/8 but it varies throughout the piece
